It was hard to get the safety paper out. The plastic cover was hard to get off so I could get the paper cover off the container. I think the paper should be over the top of the the plastic. Or make a different kind of safety top. I like the taste and I will most likely buy it again. Maybe I can send a picture next time. I finally got it open this time. With help of a screwdriver. Maybe you should you add, Directions for opening, on the container.
It is good. It’s definitely the real thing. It improves food flavoring 1000% with oregano as well as with Italian seasoning , they all blend together nicely, smells phenomenal and really adds good flavor with just a little bit of pinch of mineral salt
This garlic powder is great to add to pasta and casseroles. It's a good value too, especially on sale. Compared to most garlic powders that I can find online, this is still cheaper than most garlic powders that are sold in bulk or big containers. I would like to see a bigger container of this, like an 8 oz or 16 oz, so I don't have to keep buying this tiny one. This is a good size though if you are only using it sparingly, but I use this one often.
Think again before purchasing those HUGE BOX STORE HERBS AND SEASONINGS they expire, go bad with moisture exposure in kitchen, take up storage space, hard to handle. Keep IT FRESH ! With smaller regular purchases. Line up great in alpha order on the spice shelf. Great Value only $1.00!
We so appreciate the Great Value Garlic Powder. It's an amazing price, great size container for our spice rack and fantastic flavor. Many people think generic and turn away. Not us! It's just as great as the more expensive brands and way less in price. Way to go Great Value! We will buy you everytime!!
This is a great Garlic powder. In fact, I think I like it better than McCormick, it tastes like real Garlic. My wife says this is the best that she has ever seen and tasted. She likes it around the holidays when she makes lots of Chex mix for Christmas.
I ALWAYS, and l mean always, have this garlic powder in my cupboard. I truly put garlic powder on nearly everything. I have tried other brands over the years, but for this cheap price, I always use this one. I pray it is a good garlic, because l go through lots of it. I love mixing it in cream cheese for my crackers. I love it my eggs for an omelette. I put it in my pot roast. I put it in melted butter in a small pot and then toast up a plain piece of bread for garlic bread. I put it in my spaghetti sauce. I put it in when l fry up cabbage, l mean, as you can see, for me, the list can go on and on for garlic powder.😍
his Great Value garlic powder gets the job done, but it’s definitely milder than some of the other brands I’ve used. I found myself needing to add a little extra to get the same level of flavor I’m used to. That said, it’s affordable, easy to keep on hand, and works well for everyday cooking — especially quick weeknight meals when I’m trying to season things fast. If you prefer a strong, bold garlic flavor, you may want to use a heavier hand or pair it with fresh garlic. Overall, it’s a good budget-friendly pantry staple, just not as strong as some of the pricier brands.
one is garlic powder(the lighter colored one) and the other is a salty mystery. the lighter color one is best by August 13, 2028 the darker one is best by June 07, 2028 if you have any dietary restrictions especially salt, make sure to check your seasonings before buying!
I have used this brand for years. Bought it 1000 times. The last one I got tasted awful. It didn’t taste like garlic. It tasted like it had some kind of pepper mixed in. I can’t use it. I’m only out a dollar but that’s not the point. The point is now I either have to spend 5x what I normally pay and get the name brand or make a special trip to harps for best choice garlic powder that doesn’t taste like poison. Seriously. It went straight in the trash. Oh and by the way thanks for ruining my lasagna.
