I've noticed that I always need more onion powder and garlic powder. do you have that happened too? so when you buy one of these stock up with maybe two or three so that in those cold winter months you don't have to run to the store for just one thing. my favorite spices are onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, oregano, coriander and garlic salt. spices are such a great way to add flavor without all that sodium.
This onion powder has never let me down and the price allows me to work it in my budget. As a retired widow on a fixed income , who now cooks just for myself this is vital. I love to cook and often prepare meals that get frozen for a later dinner. The onion powder has a good taste and has always seemed fresh to me. I use a lot of onion powder.
Have used for years. One morning, accidentally sprinkled on my frying eggs...game changer in taste...so good...should try. Also used in mac and cheese, chicken and tuna salad. Little money, BIG flavor.
I love using this powder when I'm cooking my food it helps keep my taste buds growing to use on other foods! It taste great on liver mush!
What a wonderful conveniences onion powder is just shake it and whatever marvelous dish you're making from your own kitchen and it adds such a delicious natural flavorful onion flavor to whatever you're cooking and it's so reasonably priced we love it and you're going to love it too
I really love my Great Value spice products. Great Value Onion Powder is an absolute staple in my kitchen. It consistently delivers a fresh, potent onion flavor that enhances everything from homemade soups and stews to dry rubs for grilling. I find the quality to be just as good as the more expensive name brands, but at a much better value. It's a reliable, high-quality seasoning that I reach for almost every time I cook. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stock their spice cabinet without overspending.
You will probably really like this stuff but for me it reminds me of that guy Ron in fifth grade who brought some to school one day and pranked me and Tommy Rainer by puttin it on our sandwiches. So at lunch, my peanut butter sandwich was ruined and Tommy's cheese sandwich was too but for a while he was just eatin it like every thing was all right until Ron just busted out laughing and told us the whole thing. I had to go wash out my mouth at the water fountain but Tommy just opened up his sandwich and shook it out and went back to eatin it. I couldn't believe it because if it were my cheese sandwich I'd probably throw it out but then Tommy takes out some garlic and onion potato chips and then everything made sense.
Very inconsistent flavor and size of granules. Sometimes grainy, sometimes powdery. Taste is the same. Sometimes strong onion flavor, sometimes mild and not very flavorful. If it wasn't so inexpensive I probably wouldn't buy it so every time I taste the product and adjust how much I use each time.
This one of my little cheats for hectic cooking days. When I don't have time to chop an onion I just add some of this to perk up the flavor. either adding to roasts or other fried/cooked meats, in side salads, casseroles, it works in almost everything on the main dinner menu. It does the job and that is what matters. I do wish that it wasn't so easy to shake into what I am making. There has been one or two times when I got carried away a little more than usual, but we managed to eat it anyway. If I have to rely on instant potatoes onion powder has to go in along with some dehydrated minced garlic. Other additives are sometimes Ranch dressing, sour cream, or way-too-much cheese. I prefer not to taste the instant potatoes by themselves there is just something about them that is just a bit too bland, IMO. ;)
driver was great - 5 stars. walmart prices have gone up! items not available overthe last month - 1 star. walmart brand most of the time does not hold up to the name brands. feel like walmart trying to force customers to order their own brands. Going to start going to Costco for most of my items.
