I like to have this onhand as it is very versati;le for cooking or making a good dip for chips. I used the more expensive big name brand for manyyears and then discovered the Walmart brand and this is my choice now. It has all the flavor and not as expensive.

We use this as an add in for meatloaf and burgers. Gives meatloaf some great flavor. I think it works best making the meatloaf the day before and let it sit overnight in the fridge. We also cook it a slow cooker which makes the meatloaf incredibly moist and tender. Plus it cheaper than name brand

I buy this regularly, I use as a seasoning for about 4 recipes. From dip to seasoning meatloaf, pot roast and few varieties of soup. It's comparable to the popular name brand for less. There are times when I do add some dehydrated onion bits, but it's doesn't deter me from buying.

Just as the title says, this also works great with rice or potatoes. I cook rice in a slow cooker and when the rice is done I remove it and let it set while I cook the onion soap. I add the rice back in and stir it and let it simmer on low for aroud fiftee minutes or so and it taste great. If you want the rice to turn into more of a porriage, you can let it cook on low for around an hour. As for potatoes, it makes a great addition for an onion potato soup. It is a little salty, but I've found that adding a bit of extra water above the recommended helps with that.

A keep this on hand. Dip mix in seconds! I use sour cream, ranch dressing, and plain old mayo sometimes. Any one of the three make a good dip base. I have added an envelope of it to my Rice Bot in a 2 cup of dry rice concoction. I might get a shaker to use it as a spice as well.

Easily can compare to the Lipton onion soup mix ! I have plenty of these !

I keep this on hand as a seasoning base for many things, soups, stews, recipes, mix into when you're making a meatloaf, you can even mix it into hamburger before you form them into patties and eat cheeseburgers. This is definitely more affordable than the name brand and just as good. It is a pantry staple must.

This is a regular item for me. I add it to any hamburger I cook. I also use it in Bachelor Stew*. It is great to add to a crock pot when making just about anything where you would want onions. I use it in chili, tacos and other meats I cook, chicken, pork or beef. *Bachelor Stew is anything I make up to cook on the spot just using ingredients I have on hand at the time.

What far too many folks don't know about this %26 many other "house brand" foods is most are made by the sane factories that produce high-priced items seen advertised on tv, in magazines, etc. Plus, this particular item has nowhere near the pile of mystery chemicals added to the Lipton caldrens when the stuff is made. Next time you put a roast into a crockpot, sprinkle a pouch or two onto it with the peppers %26 Vidalia onions %26 mushrooms %26 such like that, Pat. I generally use corned beef briskets with the fat on top to baste the meat as it cooketh. Buddy, now that is some fine eating, %26 surprisingly tender. See? You can use this for more than cheese dip.
