This is our favorite bbq sauce. It's absolutely delicious. It's nice and thick so it goes a long way, too. To me, most of the national brands are waaaaaay too sweet and are a little on the thin side. This is plenty sweet, but doesn't hit you over the head with corn syrup!
This is my go-to barbecue sauce for cooking. it's inexpensive and very similar to name brands. We use it for dips, barbecues, stove top recipes...you name it, we use it. My son did not notice when I switched from the more expensive name brand sauce to Great Value. I order it as part of my regular grocery order. so I get it dropped off to my door same-day at no extra cost. It's now in my list of recurring grocery purchases. It's sweet with a bit of spice, and using it under the broiler really beings out the flavor!
Here's how I use this great BBQ sauce in a cute bottle! I replaced Ketchup with this instead. I add a tablespoon to mayo and mix it in my tuna for a spiced-up tuna fish sandwich. I put it on eggs, hotdogs, hamburgers, sausages, in place of tomato sauce when I make spaghetti or homemade pizza. I add two tablespoons to Chunky Soups. I don't cook I remove the labels and reuse the cute bottle to store bottled water in the fridge, which is convenient to carry or drink straight from the bottle. Or, I store homemade tea or lemonade in it.
I wanted to try this sauce just to compare to the brand I normally buy at a much more higher price. We barbequed chicken with it on the grill and it was good. I will be purchasing more of it and will continue to try the other flavors Great Value offers.
This is the one you want. Stop messing around and trying to find the perfect hickory smoked BBQ sauce for your ribs, because this is it. I used to get the Bull's-Eye Hickory Smoke BBQ Sauce about two years ago and it was $2.69 back then and I had to always get it shipped. Never in stock. Then I tried others, trying to find that perfect flavor and decided to give this one a shot again. I use this on my baby back ribs and it's perfect. Stop messing around. Just buy it.
I use the smaller bottle as a quick base for two different sauces. I l8ke them with chicken.best. Stir 1 ingredient into the bbq sauce %26 heat through - also good for basting. %231 add-in: 10 oz can crushed pineapple %232 add-in: 10 oz jar orange marmalade
I really like the boldness of this flavor, i am not however connoisseur of BBQ sauce nor do I have Gordon Ramsay's palette. That being said, I use it in all my recipes. Now, my daughter likes it, and it is super cheap. How do you beat that? It has great consistency, great for marinating. Th I s has a nice barbecue flavor without heavy spice.
thought i was going to have to make a run to the store to get more barbecue sauce to make my pork ribs but got lucky and found a bottle in the cabinet. and yes they came out nice and tender and crispy and the melted in your mouth
I'm not real picky about barbecue sauce if I'm just using it to dip fries or chicken nuggets but if I'm cooking with it I am. to me this is just as good as the name brands. it's thick and not watery
It is a decent BBQ sauce, if the BBQ sauce is not meant to be the star of the show. It is a good go-to back-up sauce when I am out of the good sauces I bought on sale at better prices, which I can often do. I have nothing specifically bad to say. I just don't have anything specifically great to say either. It is a good basic BBQ sauce. I have bought it more than once and will continue to do so, but when I really want the BBQ sauce as the star of the show, I have a different go-to for that.
