I love a Crockpot or kettle of Pinto Beans. i can eat them twice a week and im about to prepare these for cooking. they come in these handy bags, different sizes for you. their great for a family meal or just for myself. I can usually hardly wait to eat them with the smell filling my place as they cook.

We go through vans of pinto beans in a week, but however easy and good they are in a pinch, there is nothing like slow cooking a pot of these overnight with some green chiles, garlic, and a few spices. The difference is enormous, and so good . You will be setting that slow cooker up a few more times that you ever expected.

These been taste great. When checking the beans for defects or rocks, as you should with any beans, these great Value ones never have anything to pick out. I love that.

The price was right, the shipping was free and delivery time was great. I needed a larger quantity of pinto beans and Walmart grocery came through. I picked through the beans (as per instructions) and had no problems at all. The beans were all uniform size and quality. Made an excellent batch of pinto beans in my crockpot. Now if Walmart only had the other bean types on sale as well.

These Great Value beans are just as good as name brand. You may need to clean out pieces a little but nothing extra while washing the beans. They taste just fine.

Pinto beans make a delicious and affordable meal. We use them exclusively for beans and cornbread dinners as opposed to cooking to make refried beans. This brand has the same beans as other brands at a slightly better price. If you plan to use pinto beans this is probably the bag to grab to save some change (maybe even a dollar depending on other brands).

The package was covered in slim - what smells like dish washing liquid. I didn't order any dish washing liquid. Instead of them washing the slim off the package, they just put it in a grace Ty bag and tied it up. Minimal….

Old! How old? Soaked for 12 hours in plain water, still wrinkled. Soak in fridge 12 more hours, added vinegar. Next day, drained and replaced water…took 2 hours to get tender! Should not have taken this long at all, after such a long soak. Did not add salt until the last 30 minutes. Very old brans.

Many beans were split in half, others were broken in pieces as if hit by a hammer. Some had holes as if bugs had been feasting. Many were shriveled until there was only a wrinkled flat hull left. Most were so tiny it would have taken a gallon to make a mouth full. All through the bag I pulled out beans that appeared to be covered in dried green mold. When I neared the bottom of the bag and pulled out a handful of moldy broken beans I decided I had wasted enough time and money and they went into the garbage. I will not buy again.
