I use these occasionally as a topper for my dog's food, and they work great. It's an easy way to add omega-3s to their diet, and I've noticed it helps keep their coat looking silky and shiny. The portion size is convenient, and since it's packed in water, it's simple to mix into their regular food. Definitely a good pantry staple if you're looking to add a little nutritional boost to your pup's meals.
Unfortunately I do not eat these so can't give a personal review but I'm giving 5 stars across the board because I feed them to my 11 yr old Lab. 2 years ago she was having a lot of trouble getting around %26 our country Veterinary said she's gotten great results from sardines. Our dog loves them. I feed her 1/2 a can with her regular food am/pm. She's a changed dog. Like a puppy again. Can even jump in %26 out of the truck again. She still has good days %26 bad definitely more good now than bad. I give credit to the fish. Much cheaper than the fish oil %26 100% sure there's yucky things in it too. Started giving 1/2 a fish am/pm to our cat too. And he also gets the “lickings” (water in can). He's 3 yrs old. He moves like lightning around here. He doesn't walk he sprints. So in conclusion great product for joint relief in dog %26 cats. They love the taste. Could help people too I'm sure if you can get past the smell. Tip: rinse empty can and lid with soap and water before throwing away to help with smell in the trash.
I personally DON'T eat canned sardines, however my outside colony/semi-feral cats LOVED these mixed in with dry kibble as an occasional treat. As canned sardines go, they seem to be a good quality for the price. Nice and plump, with 4 good sized fish in each tin.
I love the price and even if it was the same as competitors... it's worth it. Easy to open and moist of the time, there are full perfect fish inside! Usually I get 6 nice sized fish in each can. They don't break as easily when lifting out of the can either (at least for me). Delicious with rice, on sandwiches or paired with buttery crackers.
Have been on a sardine fast and have been trying different brands and types of sardines. These are the least costly of all. Rinse them off and added hot sauce… Not bad. They do have a little bit more of a fishy taste than other brands consumed recently. Great price point!
I don't eat fish: I purchased it for my cats. They seemed to like it initially but left most of it in the bowl. I tried to pick out the bones but I dislike handling fish period! So, don't go by my opinion if you like sardines. I just wanted to see if the cats would like them.
I want to love it because the price can't be beat; but bottom line, bare bone sardines' taste isn't great and some days I just can't eat, even if I see it as medicine. (collagen and protein galore) I'm undecided on whether I will buy more. I'll have a several-day palate cleanse and try again just for the health benefits. I also do like that it's more firm than more expensive options. I'll look for a recipe to improve taste and see next time.
Needed to be cooked better. I still ate them, but I prefer the bones less “obvious” and crunchy. Not the worst sardines I've ever had but definitely not the best. (I also wish they had an extra virgin olive oil version.) All in all they still tasted better than Wild Planet sardines, but I still won't be buying these again unless I just want to add them to a can of tunafish for their added health benefits. Otherwise I will stick to paying 3x as much and getting the King Oscar.

Delivey in standard in-store cheapo plastic grocey bags? Is this delivery now? It's a good thing I can retreive my items quickly into the house, if the cardbord packaged items are left outside for more than 30 minutes, the local wildlife will have lunch instead of me. Cheapo instore plastic grocery bags? Really?
