Ok.. I'm excited to review this product. I mix this applesauce with Honey Nut O's and it is delicious! I had forgotten all about this treat until recently. I used to feed this to my children. I had triplets and this was their favorite, Can use it on regular cheerios too. Also, I used to put a dob of whipped cream on it and then it was their dessert. lol
I have purchased Great Value unsweetened applesauce for a very long time and it has always been great!! This last batch seemed a bit watery--and, consequently, less tasty. I will continue to purchase, perhaps it was an extra rainy season for those apples :-)!!
I use this large jar of unsweetened applesauce for my family's lunches. The flavor is simple and just tastes like apples. I find the jar is easy to open. But getting all of the applesauce out is a different matter. Even with a spatula, it's hard to scrape the sides and bottom clean. Still, the product offers good value for a forty-six ounce container.
I literally pour this applesauce in a large 20 oz plastic glass AND 'drink it', until it gets to the bottom %26 won't pour into my mouth, then I finish eating the rest of it with a spoon. I am in my 70's %26 learned this several years ago ON LINE. I am on a self-imposed 'BRAT Diet' [Banana's. Long Grain White Rice, Apple Sauce %26 DRY Toast with no butter or other condiments added to any of the listed items] %26 eat as much as you want thourghout a 24 hr day for stomach upsets %26 problems %26 this works so quickly you will not have diareha or stomach problems after a few days of eating like this anymore, I promise..
The garden sweetenedBecause I'm trying to die.I've lost thirty one pounds so far. Was really hesitant to get on sweetened , but really surprised it isn't sour taste lovely , it's applesauce , just not so sugary. I would really recommend this if you like more natural flavors.
Name brand applesauce has added so much water that the taste is diminished,I buy unsweetened to add my own sweetener.Even store brands are getting soupy but I was highly impressed with the Great Value applesauce thick texture and taste amazing especially with cinnamon it's a win please don't change the texture!
This applesauce is so good. I appreciate that there is no added sugar and it really is not necessary. The only reason I took off a star is that when the jar is almost finished it is hard to get the last bits out because of the indents in the jar. I think a more smooth design would be better, as we never get to us all the applesauce!
I'm a diabetic. I buy four or five of the forty two ounce jars of unsweetened apple sauce monthly. All of a sudden, the applesauce is sour and watery. Dont buy. From what I've researched the blue lid Jars are the ones that are so watery %26 sour tasting. i've tried to research. The result has something possibly to do with being organic.
Whoever desgned the container is an idiot! The applesauce gets stuck in the grooves, and it can not be scraped out because the opening of the jar is too small. Therefore, a good bit of it is wasted!
DONT THINK WE HAVEN'T NOTICED WALMART!! ಠ︵ಠ Used to be great !!! But they are putting more water in it to save money . At first I thought maybe it was just me. But me %26 my whole family noticed. Not buying anymore.
