I've been buying this product for years and never thought about buying it in bulk to save money. Grocery prices are so high I have to save money any way possible and I started by buying a 24 pack of these potatoes. They taste great and they're very affordable compared to Publix. Try buying this in bulk and you won't be disappointed.
I have been purchasing Great Value Whole New Potatoes for years, and I consistently appreciate how easy they are to prepare. They eliminate the time-consuming and messy task of peeling potatoes, making them perfect for quickly creating a flavorful soup or a simple side dish, which is especially helpful during busy weeknights. Beyond their convenience, I also find the price to be very reasonable, considering the quality of the potatoes, the generous 15-ounce package size, and the overall convenience they offer. These potatoes have truly become a staple in my kitchen, saving me valuable time and effort without sacrificing delicious results. They are my go-to for quick and easy meals.
I like to use these potatoes when I make shish-ka-bob. If I use real potatoes, I have to parboil them first. If I don't then they don't get cooked on the grill. With these, I just brush a little olive oil and sea salt on them. They brown up nicely and taste great.
A few years ago I'd tell you there's no way I'd buy canned potatoes. Then I had some at a party where they were put in a pan and roasted with some seasonings. Not bad at all! I bought a couple cans, whole and sliced to keep in my pantry. I used the sliced potatoes to make breakfast potatoes with a little onion. I used the whole potatoes, cut-up, in a pot of vegetable soup. Very convenient and a great price. They will never replace my favorite baked potatoes with the skin on, but they are handy for sure.
Easy to fix and went well with other dishes! I liked this a lot so I ordered it again, however it was not in my last delivery. I double checked it was on the list and I did not receive it and was disappointed. I thought maybe it was unavailable but have not received any notification that was the case. My delivery was timely and well done. Perhaps it slipped from one of the bags or was overlooked in the order preparation. I am currently looking for the "chat with us" button and when I find it I am sure I will be told how this can be helped. I really wanted it to go with the chicken breast I cooked last night.
Good taste at a good price. Get them stocked up with the great value brand instead of the nonsense overpriced name brand for the exact same item. Most likely came from the same cannery anyway.
I love these for a quick side dish. Just heat and drain, then add a gob of butter along with chopped chives or onion and chopped parsley. They are also great for a small batch of potato salad.
Great product very good potatoes I love canned potatoes for stuff like chicken and dumplings and beef stew that you make in the crockpot or beef first and they're also very good lightly fried and butter and parsley. Great product for the price.
These are excellent potatoes. I do not have to peel and can keep them on hand for whatever recipe/meal I choose to prepare without worrying about waste due to spoilage. Very competitively priced, too.
22 of the 24 cans were smashed/dented/damaged. Walmart.com is managed by completely incompetent amateurs. Walmart and Walmart.com are not the same. These potatos are only worth buying in stores where management is competent enough to not damage them.
