The herring filets are firm and delicious. The tomato sauce is good, but I don't know why they call it Hot. It's almost sweet. Nothing hot going on with these. I'll buy again
Haven't been able to find Pampa Herring since late 23'. Stocked up as soon as i saw it back in stock.
Excellent product! Just what I like since I don't care to cook anything but still want something tasty. Perfect for outings or camping.
I had never tried herring from a can, and in hot tomato sauce, as well. I was very pleasantly surprised with how very much I enjoyed it. The herring is delectably delicious, and the sauce is tasty, but unfortunately, not hot or spicy enough for my tastebuds. But otherwise, I will definitely be purchasing some more !
Despite being called "hot" tomato sauce, there's no discernable kick to it, but if you like your herring in regular tomato sauce, this is a very affordable option.
Herring has become difficult to find and prices have gone way up. So, this was an acceptable purchase at a fecent value. I wish there were varieties available though.
It's probably better if removed from sauce and eat it on a cracker. I didn't do this, and I wish I would've. Much better that way, in my opinion.
Canned fish, partially liquid, food items poorly packaged, as experienced by other customers in reviews here. There was no safety padding, no padding paper envelope, nor any protective padding of the cans themselves. .Food item containers dented, contents unsafe/exposed. Replace without damaged Food Items return need. 2 shipments of 6 cans each this week. Both shipped and fulfilled by Walmart Nevada Fulfillment Center. Amazon replaces damaged Food Items without item return need. Walmart does NOT give that as an option. Would anyone ship leaked fish product damaged due to unacceptably unsafe original shipment packaging? This MUST be addressed and taken seriously!
Tins were thrown loosely into a thin paper shipping bag with no cushioning or protection, as aresult three of the cans were dented and twisted and one was so creased it was unusable. What kind of stockman throws thin aluminum herring tins loosely into a bag for shipment? Boxes have been invented, and we've supposedly evolved with brains.
tasting quite bitter, could not finish the can. Cannot recommend product. Walmart should not sell it.
