Q-Tips are always better than the off brand because of how sturdy they are! The off brand are always made to flimsy! There is also the right amount of cotton on them! This is a product that I will continue to buy because of the consistency of the product.
I recently purchased the generic brand that Walmart sells as the equivalent brand and WOW ARE THEY a JOKE! The tips continued to fall off and bend but the first time one of the tips fell off in my ear %26 it continued to happened. After that experience I only buy Qtip brand qtips and no more dupes for any reason.... it is not worth the problems I dealt with until I threw my new box in the garbage.
For the past 50 years, the original Q-tips Cotton Swabs, have been my go-to cotton swabs. Through the years and mostly when I have been broke, I have tried other brands, however the cotton on the tips have more cotton and stay on these better than the others and I like that they have a little bend but not too much as the others seem flimsy. I always come back to Q-Tips and throw out any others I've tried.
I'm 77 and have used QTips my whole life! The real deal is non negotiable... the store/bargain brands just don't cut it!! I DO think the real QTips have gotten smaller/shorter recently (like many other products.... think soap bars...) but it doesn't affect the swab's usefulness!
I bought these Q-tips to replace some cheaper swabs that had a plastic stick which bent whenever I tried to use them for anything. Q-tips Cotton Swabs are much sturdier! I have had no problem with bending while using them. Sometimes old school is best!
You definitely want to buy the name brand when it comes to cotton swabs. These are less likely to break than other/cheaper brands. They won't bend, and they don't fall apart. They are useful for carefully cleaning electronics along with some isopropyl alcohol. They are good for getting dirt out of the corners of your phone case. They are good for spreading ointment across cuts. Also, we all know we're not supposed to stick things in our ears, but we also all know that we do it anyway. These are the least likely to cause issues. Just be careful. If you can hear the q-tip you've inserted it too far.
Q-tips are my go-to cotton swabs, and I always end up coming back to this brand. I've tried other brands over the years, but they just don't compare. The biggest difference is the amount of cotton on the tips. Many store brands seem to use less cotton, which can make them uncomfortable to use. These have soft, well-made tips that stay intact and feel much gentler. The swabs are sturdy, reliable, and work well for a variety of household and personal care uses. The large 500-count package lasts a long time, making it a great value. If you're tired of flimsy cotton swabs with barely any cotton on them, these are definitely worth the extra cost.
I'm disappointed in the reduction of quality. I thought maybe they made a mistake with the last two packs I bought. Just bought two more and they and not good like they used to be. The are cheaply made like dollar tree and cheaper brands I remember used to be. I'm going to be looking for a new brand.
Q-tips cotton swab original is failing the consumer like many of our companies. At first I wondered if Johnson and Johnson q-tip products, sold by Walmart, are the same as what is sold at other stores? With a little research I found they have the same manufacturing process across the board, regardless of the retailer. They have changed the way that they create their products. Other customers reviews have reported a decline in the overall quality of Q-tips in recent years, noting issues such as thinner paper shafts and less cotton on the tips. I will be finding an alternative product to spend my money on.
Johnson and Johnson no longer owns Q-tips. When you try to clean your ear, the stick is weak and bends. I tried sending a review or comment to the company and after writing the note, the site is unable to send the comment. I will be returning this to Walmart.
