I have been making biscuits and gravy for 62 years. Much of the past 45 years it was to feed my wife and 6 kids and all of their friends. My kids are grown and gone. My lovely wife passed from cancer 10 years ago and I have been trying to scale my 1 gallon gravy recipe down to fit 4 biscuits. The packaged mix from Southeastern Mills turned out to be perfect in taste, amount, consistency and convenience. It makes enough for two adults or more if you have eggs, and potatoes or one over a two-day stretch. It stores dry in a slick package and takes up no room in the pantry and makes a no waste breakfast possible again. I really like the peppery taste.

Consistent quality and quick prep. A pantry staple for when someone has a craving for biscuits and gravy. As with everything today - still overpriced :(

I make this for my DH as he loves biscuits and gravy. He really likes this brand and it is easy to make. Sometimes I add cooked sausage to it. He will eat it for breakfast and have it on another biscuit for an afternoon snack. It's a hit here.

Love the taste and convenience of this gravy mix. I measure cold water in a Pyrex measuring cup. then stir the gravy mix into the water with a fork. There are fat pieces that will not dissolve in the cold water but they melt in the cooking step. I put the Pyrex into the microwave for two minutes on high then remove it to stir the gravy well. Make sure to stir in the solids on the bottom into the mix. Return the Pyrex to the microwave for 30 minute increments, stirring well each time. Repeat until the desired gravy thickness reached. Serve warm.

an excellent brand of gravy. i use 1 cup of milk instead of water. i add sausage meat %26 pepper --- so good.

Very easy to make. i've made my own for many years, cant eat to much sausage these days so using this gravy cuts alot of grease out of my diet.

I do really like this gravy and this brand, the only thing I feel could make it better would be to also offer this same brand and gravy but include the added sausage flavor! I know they make it cause I've tried it %26 it's delicious!

None of these mixes are as good as homemade gravy, but these taste pretty good. When you aren't able to cook like you used to, they are okay.
