6-pk Ground Anchor Kit

Although marketed for dog runs, and by using that for my search, I came up with these. For the price and value they are great. Other places marketed them as gardening anchors (trees and such) and had them at almost double what I paid. I did use them as ground anchors for my newly installed shed but these were the extact same as what other companies were using. Once again Walmart comes through.

Didn't use since the Kennel didn't work out.

The first one I drove, the front of the "bullet" snapped off and it just pulled out of the ground. The rest worked as advertised. I would have advised new users to drive these deep as possible because they pull out 6 to 8 inches when "Setting".

Product works like said and is great for anchoring a Dog Kennel!

I bought a 6'x8' steel-framed, polyester covered greenhouse which I thought was plenty sturdy. After a day of moderate winds, I found it across the yard. I figured I needed ground anchors, and discovered that the same place I bought the greenhouse wanted over $45 for the exact same ones I got at walmart.com for $25! If you have any type of small shelter (kennel, greenhouse, anything) that can get potentially blown around in occasional and even just moderate windy conditions, then you need this! So far, my greenhouse has stayed put. And I saved almost 50% by getting it from walmart.com. Read the instructions! I forgot to "pull" the anchors before tying them off -- but I assume a strong wind will do that for me when the time comes. This is a very wise and small investment for your small shelter.

Instructions was a picture on the box. Past reviews stated it was easy enough. I have never used anchors and went by recommendations to use for our dog kennels. We now live in a new area, as quick as we moved, my dog kennels went up right after our purchase. Each anchor was attached to a cable and lock like u ring with brace and 2 screws. Each box came with 6 anchor sets. Good thing because 2 of the u ring was damaged that the screws could not connect. I used 4 anchors 1 to each corner and used the extra u ring to complete set up. 1 cable end clasp had slipped off while posting anchor just as the slack tightened. It left just enough cable to put a temporary clamp, ran to a local hardware store. On the first 2 corners I had tightened the cable to anchor too much, it caused the kennel to move, but I did it so the cable wasn't exposed. So I went further away from kennel on the next 2 and cable is exposed. I was annoyed. BUT we survived Hurricane Sandy! Dogs were safe in their igloo surrounded by their anchored kennel!!

No 30" drive rod and only 3 anchors. And my project was on hold for 13 days while I waited for this kit to arrive. I can't figure out how they can send a kit that's supposed to include 6 anchors and a drive rod but only send 3 anchors. It's totally ridiculous. The package was intact but too small for the drive rod unless it's telescoping.
