It was the right replacement for my blender

It fitted perfectly.

blades worked great. However the blade assembly is leaking black stuff all over the place. It continued to happen even after multiple uses. It has happened with more than one of the assembly items.

I use my blender mostly for frozen margaritas. After 15 or more years, the original cutter started to leak through the bearing that allows the blades to spin. I chose this replacement, hoping that the six-blade unit would be even better at chopping ice cubes and circulating the slush. When it arrived, it looked great. I used it once and instantly returned it. I experienced three major problems: 1) It leaked immediately, worse than my 15-year-old original. 2) It did not chop ice as well, nor did it circulate the slush as well. It did eventually get the job done, but only with me doing a lot of stirring. 3) The color of my green margarita seemed grayer than usual. I eventually realized that the dark grease that packs the bearing must have leaked out into my drink. Unfortunately, I had already drunk a fair amount of it before I noticed this. Yuck. Maybe these things vary in quality, and I just got a bad one. But that's how it went for me.
