i never realized that these anti slip came on a roll with each strip cut to fit the stairs. i was expecting flat pieces for each step. i was alsp expecting a carpet like material and not a rough surface. i havent applied them to my outdoor steps but hopefully they will adhere and last in Floridas unpredictable weather.
They are very new, so I can't comment in long-term functionality, but they look very nice and provide good traction. They seem to adhere well to my wood ramp and the fluorescent stripes are also a nice feature. I'm happy so far and would recommend them.
i do wish they came in different colors so my elderly dog could see them better at night. i bought them to put on the stairs so my elderly dog had some traction. she has fallen and slid down the stairs a cpl times. so she's afraid to use stairs now. if she were able to see these in a brighter color it might help
They came folded in half so the centers kept bubbling up. While they were still on the steps, I put a heavy piece of paper over them and ironed them on high for about 30 seconds. It worked like a charm. They look nice on my basement steps. I got them to prevent the clomping noise from my shoes going up and down the stairs when others are sleeping. Noise free! I'm happy with them, especially because of the price. Well worth it.
This review is for Kasakawise Black Traction Treads. They're easy to install once you peel the backing strip (this can be difficult, you need sharp finger nails, utility knife blade edge or pin to get a start on a corner), after placing them apply pressure to set them (roll or step on them),in cooler weather you may need to warm the step surfaces before installing, take care not to stretch them. The grit on their surface is VERY Good! Only unknown is long term durability, in my opinion a 5*/4* Walmart delivered product
I'm sure it will work well enough for the next few months, through winter at least. But it's already started to chip away in areas where it's constantly in the sun. Not the manufacturers fault at all. I honestly think the sun is just a lot hotter than it used to be.
We bought these for a rental property because several of our tenants were complaining about the slippery stairs in the winter months. does sticky backs on these bad boys is seriously sticky. Make sure you know where you want to lay it down the first time and clean your surface before putting it down. now the grip on top is like sandpaper grip. not sure if it's going to last all winter. But I will say is seriously helps you get a good grip on every step almost too much. I hope that doesn't become a problem. But time will tell
Very good treads, and a good size for most applications. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the backing is difficult to peal off. Don't try to tear it off quickly because that won't work. Tear slowly, and evenly, pulling the entire backing across at an even tension. They do stick on very well(so far).
They came with no instruction at all. I applied them on clean dry stairs on a fairly warm day just like I did some previous treads that I had bought several years ago that stayed on my steps for 2 years through Northwest Indiana/Chicago snow. These came off on our first snow fall of an inch and a half. I would never recommend these and if I had the information I would send them back.
Kaskawise outdoor strips are great. I have used them 3 times in the last 3 months The reason for the 1 star is the last 2 packages were supposed to contain 15 strips They only contained 10 each, which kept me from completing my job. I would appreciate it if Kaskawise would reimburse me or send me the 10 strips I was shorted I will be happy to review again if Kaskawise makes this right! Thank you!
