I ordered 8 ft lengths and cut them in half for the decorative columns of my BBQ Island. Already received a lot of compliments. The columns were easy to assemble and install.
Added a front porch, still a work in progress
The new columns added such wonderful street appeal
These were used in new construction. The finish is great. They define the porches and give a certain character to the whole house.
Nine years and going strong! I purchased three of these beautiful columns in 2010 when I built a second floor bedroom addition on the rear of my home. The columns wrap support post for the new bedroom, and still look just as nice as when they were installed. They turned unsightly steel posts into an elegant structure. Would highly recommend this product.
Added the 10" columns at pool end to add dimension. Had five holes drilled in travertine tile and insert 5' of rebar with about 2' extending above surface; added a bag of cement to fix in place. Installation withstood recent high winds. For this installation there is no top covering so I glued a square of cutting board plastic to top of each column to avoid filling with rain water.
I remodeled my porch with a new roof & was looking for some unique columns. I ordered 5 of the copper fluted columns. They were absolutely beautiful. We kept the columns wrapped to avoid any damage as the contractors finished the roof. To my surprise my neighbors were anticipating the reveal of the columns. The columns made the entire look of the porch. Very happy with quality & color matches perfectly. I would definitely recommend.
totally remodeled front porch new concrete looked great so i didn't want to use old columns thus ordered new round ones they looked awesome and the quality is super. I would definitely order again.
We had a couple of wooden columns that were original to the house (1950) that were rotting away at the bottom, so we thought we'd replace them with something more durable. These really fit the bill, and they made the house look considerably classier and more regal. Our installer had a bit of a struggle getting one of the pair to line up properly, but in the end it all worked out. I was quite happy with the final product.
Product came with absolutely NO installation instructions. If I hadn't have had prior experience with columns like these, I would have been completely lost. Top and bottom bases/caps were cheap, had no mating slots for assembling them, and just looked like they had been cut in half at the factory and then sent like that. I wound up using duct tape on the insides to hold them together. There was NO hardware included for attaching them to the tops (bottoms are held in place by gravity) of the column, so I designed my own system for holding them in place (double stick tape and magnets...worked like a charm). I bought columns similar to this from a home improvement store about ten years ago, and those came with instructions and mounting clips for the top and bottom bases that held them from the inside. I guess you get what you pay for. I saved money buying these columns from here, but had to improvise and rely on only my skill and memory during the installation process to get the job done. One of the ends of the panels had also been damaged from the factory as well. It wound up being a non issue because I had to cut them to fit anyway....so I just cut that end off...but still....just one more issue.
