My wife and I purchased 20 tress to plant in our back yard, and if you know anything about Alabama dirt, its mostly clay! So needless to say I was not to enthused about digging that many holes, especially since I am 61 and had 5 back surgeries. So I picked this up instead of renting one so I could take as long as I wanted to and not worry about how much a rental would cost. This digger worked perfectly, and I was able to dig all those holes and I had no issues. I thought about getting the larger one, but the torque on this one is enough, the size of the engine is just fine for me and it tore up the clay!

This machine is truly remarkable. It performed quite well, successfully digging 20 8-inch holes. It's quite easy to operate. It does feel a bit rough when hitting large rocks, but that's to be expected. It's perfect for anyone who needs a ground drill for a one-time fence installation. Assembly is easy, the construction is solid, and it worked well from the first use

I am actually pretty impressed. It comes with 2 different sized bits, fuel container that helps with mixing fuel and oil together. Best of it comes with spare parts, such as a throttle handle, cotter pins, air filter cover, all as extra parts, even a screwdriver to install the throttle handle on. Now 1 spare part I wish it came with is a spare pull string handle as i broke it on the first day.

Original order, could not get the unit to start. Followed all directions and hints from other reviews. Contacted seller and they promptly replaced it with a new one that works. Great size for homeowners use and easy for one person to use. Very satisfied.

I am installing a pergola and one of the hardest parts is creainf the holes for the posts. This auger turned the hardest part to the easiest. It is super easy to use and has several drill bits to let you set the width of the hole. I will also be able t use this to rebuild my fence next yeat.

This tool works perfectly, and I can dig all the holes and have no problems. This tool is easy to assemble, very good, and easy to use. Much cheaper than renting a hole drill with the same size.

one of the things i didnt like was it has no clutch so if it hangs up you could possibly break your wrist or leg just run it slow and be careful but has good power and drills good and great for planting bushes

A good unit is just too difficult trying to start this unit and the pull cord it’s just too hard to start this piece of equipment. It should have a starter switch on. It would not recommend this device.
