The safe functions as described but at best, it's a mild deterrent to the casual violation. It will not slow down an actual criminal from gaining access. First indication was how light it is compared to other safes I've handled.
I screwed it to the floor. There are two holes in safe. It's thin sheet metal and I could have easily rocked it back %26 forth to rip the screws out, so I drilled 2 more holes in floor. Standard Harbor Freight drill bit went through floor in 15 seconds.
Bottom line is it's good for casual (family friends) from gaining access but anyone serious about getting in, will in minutes with a drill or Sawzall.
