Goldilocks Zone. Perfect weight / power ratio.

Anonymous December 12, 2025

I weighed all the options and this really was the best fit for me. The next model up was too heavy for me and the one below it weighed about the same. When comparing options make sure you look at the CFM and don't get distracted by engine size. Buy the biggest one you are willing to carry on your back for an extended amount of time. For me this is when blowing leaves into piles in the fall. My last backpack blower was a 200 CFM machine. This one has more power at idle than my last one had at full throttle. I've been very happy with this one. My one wish would be a better waist belt like a hiking backpack has. This would help with weight distribution. I do like that the shoulder straps have upper and lower adjustments for better distribution.

Unbeatable.

This is a fantastic blower, but I expect nothing less from Echo. Engine is rock solid and this blower has exceptional power. I have a heavily wooded rear yard so I am blowing leaves weekly and it handles even larger piles of leaves easily. I wear earmuffs when I use it, but I know it's not as loud as the 9010. If I were blowing commercially I'd get the 9010, but this is for residential use and I know it will do everything I need for as long as I need it.

Echo power!!!!

Dom48 June 13, 2015

I bought this pb 770 T about a month ago from Winchester equipment in va all I can say if are looking for a powerhouse of a blower this is the ticket!!! Plus with the vented back it keeps your back from sweating in hot weather! It starts with a couple primes a pull on choke! Take off choke 1 pull and your running and power to blow an outdoor reclining chair on my back deck across to the other side like a kids toy!!! And grass clippings and gravel off walks and driveways with ease I am a happy man with all of my echo products I have bought from 1983 echo cs452 Vl chain saw and srm 2500 trimmer that I still have and they still run great to this day thank you echo for making easy starting, powerful, long lasting equipment!!!!

Echo Backpack Blower

BTokarz May 22, 2017

I love ECHO products. I bought a STIHL Backpack Blower years ago. Since it was new, it had a problem starting. I would avoid using the Stihl because of this problem. I needed the blower one day and it would not start. I said that was it." I'm buying an ECHO". I looked on the ECHO website and decided which model would be good for me. Within an hour, I purchased an ECHO 770T Backpack Blower from a local Dealer. The ECHO starts on the first or second pull. All my ECHO products start this way. DO NOT hesitate to purchase an ECHO product. Very simply said. "They work and run like a bear". ECHO, SIMPLY THE BEST!

Huge Power

Ram tough November 9, 2014

I purchased a PB-770T and simply love it! First thing I did was load it on my back and went up a ten foot ladder to my house roof. I found that it was light weight, easy to maneuver around with and had the power I have been looking for. Cleaning gutters is now a task I enjoy. I also blow a very large lawn and have never been able to blow the entire lawn without removing some of the leaves in piles with my tractor. With this machine it is a one step process! Great on gas also.

GREAT PRODUCT

JBAD0 November 28, 2015

This was my first backpack blower. At 70 years old, I found it to have a great amount of power, as compared to my handheld leaf blower. Having a acre of property with several large oak trees, it made a 1 to 2 day chore, over in a few hours. Great features, easy to assemble, over-all a great product. Lots of power.

Great commercial blower

NateSC July 19, 2015

I own a Stihl BR-600 and wanted to get another blower as a back up and decided to get the Echo PB-770T. After using the Echo I'm very impressed, blows equal to or maybe a slight harder than the Stihl 600, and its a pleasure to wear. The straps and back cooling fan really make a difference! The Echo has since became my 1st choice blower with the 600 now being the back-up. Moves a ton of air and always cranks easily. I have owned many Echo products over the years and they have served me well. As with all 2 cycle equipment, try and use only pure gasoline as ethanol fuel WILL cause problems if it sets for even 30 days. If you are considering a commercial blower for large leaf jobs then you cant go wrong with this one!

The best blower I have used! The most powerful!

Cub70 August 13, 2019

I bought this back pack blower to replace a STIHL back pack blower that the motor went bad on. I took a chance and went with this one, instead of buying another STIHL. The amount of power the Echo has surpasses the STIHL by a lot. The durability and feel of Echo's plastic parts seems to be “a little” less of the STIHL, but only time will tell. The shoulder straps are the BEST out there from any brand (fits well, and the straps are padded at 1 1/4” thick. One really nice feature would be the “cool off your sweaty back” vents built into the blowers back padding. ALL blower manufacturers should do this, it should be a safety/cooling feature! Last, the blower tube itself feels thin compared to the STIHL blower tube, but again only time will tell! Overall, I think it's a good purchase, and I hope the Echo outlasts my STIHL!

Blower is awesome

TheDude December 3, 2017

The PB-770 I feel is the Summer-time champ. My experience has been that this high speed machine excels at moving caked on grass and breaking up and blowing heavy, wet stuff away in a hurry. It'll also move rocks, pebbles, acorns, etc with ease. With that said, it is no slacker when it comes to moving dry leaves. I feel like one of Anemoi when I strap this thing on. I'm a homeowner with all echo equipment and past professional landscaping experience and this equipment has yet to let me down. Now, if only we could get a shirt and hat for writing excellent reviews and showing off all our high-dollar ECHO equipment to all of our neighbors. Jus' sayin', free advertising. Think about it.

so far so good

steveo123 February 17, 2015

Seems to work fine but extension tubes keep blowing off. Does not have the same power as my Red but the red broke after 3 uses and manufacturer did not stand behind the fix, so lost the whole $600.00. This machine appears to have good power and time will tell if it is durable.
