70” TCL 4K HDR Android Smart LED TV - 70S430

I waited a bit to review because I wanted to make sure I gave it my honest opinion. I love this TV and it was very easy to set up. Not only does it look great, but the colors are stunning. It works wonderful and includes many features to best fit your needs. I connected it to my phone from the start and started to download streaming apps right away. I highly recommend it :)

We replaced a smaller LG television with this 70 inch television. For comparison purposes, we played the same movie on both tv's. This screen is much brighter! It does appear that the ppi is better on our old tv, but it does not detract from the enjoyment when watching this tv. The sound is good for our family room as well. It is so large that it feels a little like we're at a theater ;)

The TCL 70” 4K HDR Android Smart LED television is a great TV. The sound is great for a large area, such as my husband's “man cave”. It projects sound very well that you can hear it everywhere. The picture is great also, as expected from a TCL brand television. This is an amazing TV and we are considering a wall mount for it, but it looks just as great and attractive on the TV stand we have. The Android aspect of the TV does have a slight learning curve if you are not familiar with it like us. But, I will say the set up and walk through instructions were great. With the built in Chromecast we were up and running (and watching) TV in no time. The streaming and apps already installed were great as well. We could add or remove apps we don't use with ease. Though it did not have our cable company app, we easily were able to watch via Chromecast quickly. No more cumbersome cables, wires and boxes for this television needed. All and all a great picture, sound, size and overall look we wanted for this area of our home. We are completely satisfied with our purchase and would highly recommend it due to its ease of use and set up.

I have never really been impressed by tv's in the past, I mean its nice to have them but they all seemed to work the same to me but this one has blown me away. It all started from the time I was setting it up, I always dread setting tv's up because of the position of the ports and struggling to plug in the cables. The hook ups are all located on the side of this tv, it helped tremendously being able to see where I was trying to plug things like my hdmi cables into instead of feeling around on the back of the tv. Things only got better from there when I finished set up and turned it on. The picture was so vivid and the sound was unlike any other tv that I have had in the past. It is not just me who thinks so my son has compared watching this tv to being in a movie theater. The only down side has been it has spoiled me, now when I try to watch tv in my bedroom it just isn't the same. My living room is now the most popular room in the house and I have this tv to blame for it.

This 70” tv was very simple to set up. It was heavier than expected so I would recommend using two people to lift. If you are not familiar with android it can be just a bit challenging to navigate at first, but one can quickly figure it out. It features voice command to operate the tv. The picture quality is simply amazing. Very vibrant picture. The size and weight of the tv may be better wall mounted(though that is not an option for me). If you use surround sound you will need a digital optical cable and that is not provided. The tv only provides one cable component hook up and that may be an issue for some. Overall, this is a great tv with a lot of great features and I would recommend.

OK, so, I know we're all a little biased when it comes to TV brands, etc, but believe me, you do not want to overlook this TCL 70" TV. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find just how much this tv had to offer in comparison to its price point vs competitors. Being considered "mid range" in quality, you've just found an under-rated hidden gem. The pictures I posted don't do it justice in the least. It really does have a great picture. With 4k UHD, and being an Android tv, you get a lot of bang for your buck. While it may not have everything your high dollar tv's have, it sure comes close, and has all the quality and features that more than make up for it when you check out. I tested it with both my fire stick and Roku box, and found it to have more than enough options to keep me happily occupied, while having an amazing picture that blew me away with it's quality. With 3 HDMI ports, you have more than enough ports for a gaming system, wifi box, sound bar, etc. The sound is as you would expect from pretty much any tv. Nothing amazing, but perfectly acceptable for most tasks. I love the "hey Google" remote control feature, as I am an avid "Googler", so that really is a nice feature for me. The remote is easy to use and understand. There is enough stuff to keep you occupied, while not overwhelming you with tons of menu's and the tiresome task of clicking all over the place. It really is straight forward and easy to use. With so much to offer, I could talk for days about how impressed I am with this tv. If you are tv shopping on a budget, or just looking for a quality tv that doesn't have to have every bell and whistle under the sun, then I highly recommend you look at the TCL brand.

We wanted a bigger TV for a while, and we were disappointed in our chromecast TV that we got during last Thanksgiving, I didn't realize there was a huge difference between chromecast and an actual Android TV. The main difference is that (to me, anyway), you're limited to just casting from another device on to your TV with a chromecast TV. I wanted this 70" TCL TV because it is a "budget" brand, meaning that you're not paying the big bucks for a Sony or Samsung label... but I've come to realized that with things like TVs, they are basically the same as tablets. I've had the no-names and I have a Galaxy Tab, and I really don't notice the difference other than the price. For those old enough for other comparisons, it is the same as buying any brand of DVD player or VHS player; some might have the name recognition, but they all work just as good as the other. Set up was very easy. You login with your Google account for a more personalized experience and stuff like Google Assistant; or you can just set up a Google account solely for the TV if you don't want Big Tech having your info. You're able to download most apps from Google Play, but not all... for example, you can't get the Roku app or TCM. The remote is very basic and functional, there's not an overload of buttons and options. The settings seem very limited too, it doesn't have all the different picture and audio settings that most people would be used to. This is a great TV for someone who just cares about the size and wants a good picture quality smartTV; if it doesn't matter where you got your diamond ring from, just as long as it's a diamond, you'll love it.

I mounted my new TCL 4 Series 70 inch Android TV four days ago and I am thrilled with this television! To begin with, this television is so sleek and beautiful. The design of the tv is wonderful and has turned my family room into my own personal movie theater. The set up of the tv is so easy to do. Once you turn the tv on the tutorials come on to guide the way for people like me who are not so technology literate. I was blown away by the picture quality. It is fantastic. I also noticed that the sound coming out of this tv is incredible. It sounds like you are in a movie theater. You will not need to hook up a surround sound system or sound bar. That is how great the sound is just from the tv by itself. The picture quality is so clean and crisp and that even applies to shows that are not even 4k. When you do get a show in 4k UHD it is awesome to view. You feel like your right next to the people in the show, that is how realistic the picture is. This television is also an Android tv, so you can easily stream movies and listen to your favorite music on it. You can even get your emails through it. It has been only four days now and there is so much to learn and so many possibilities with the things I am able to do with this tv that I need more time to play and learn on it. I will be adding to my review as more time passes and I learn all the wonderful things I can do with my TCL 4 Series Android TV. TCL is a newer and upcoming brand and I have to honestly say they are going to be serious competition for the top brands already established today. I would highly recommend the TCL brand to my family and friends, or anyone for that matter who is looking for a high quality television that has all of the newest innovative features, great design and performs like a true champion. This TV has so many amazing features. I fell in love with them quickly!! Set up is easy I turned it on it asked to connect to my phone for the internet. I connected to my google account. Which logged me into youtube for my favorite videos. I logged into all of my apps. Then you set up google to have access to the apps. Easy access to hdmi port for the dvd player and gaming system. I was not sure why this would be important until later in the evening. I have vision issues and the later in the evening it gets the less I can see. The remote has a google button 3 colors you can Definitely see. I just say hey google put on Vudu, then I ask for a specific movie. It was amazing. The sounds is great, very clear! The video quality is superb!!! It was like I was in the room with the people. I will say I have set it up in my bedroom on my long dresser. This is Great I can also set a sleep timer.

The TCL 70 inch TV is more than I expected! The setup was super easy and the television will walk you through it all. It took less than 5 minutes to start watching my new television. I was afraid that 70 inches would be too large for my room but it's perfect and makes us feel like we are in a movie theatre! You can control the brightness, contrast, size of the picture and so much more. The colors are astounding. You also have the option of controlling your home screen to view what you want and don't want. I've owned several flat-screen TVs before but none compare to the rich, vibrant colors that the TCL television has. The television comes with TV stands but you also have the option of mounting it on the wall. The stands (for tabletop/console) use are included but not a wall mounting unit which I didn't expect. My cabinet wasn't long enough to accommodate the legs so I opted to purchase a table stand that attaches to the back of the TV, like a wall mount would, and was able to have it on my cabinet. The TV has a USB port, 3 HDMI ports and HDMI ARC port, antenna/cable in, an AV port, headphone to connect headphones or external speakers, and an optical connection. I have satellite television which involved simply plugging the HDMI cable into the HDMI slot, setting the TV to the slot and I was watching it in under 2 minutes. I also connected a streaming device and that was just as simple. The TV comes preloaded with Google assistant letting you use your Google services and also lets you talk to the remote. If you don't have a Gmail account not to worry because one is not required to enjoy all the TCL television has to offer. The TV is perfect for us Android users! You can mirror your phone, tablet, laptop, or computer from anywhere in your home. If you have a gaming system you can connect your controllers. You can discover new apps and add any that you want. Some charge a fee but there are so many that don't you have fun finding new things to do or watch on this TV. Overall this television was a breeze to set up, has amazing picture quality, and works with any android device! I couldn't be happier with this TV!
