I'm 80 years old, live on SS (far below the poverty line) and although I've never had one I've heard and read that Ribeye steak is delicious. I will never know - I will never care! as long as I can get Walmart's 73/27 ground beef at their consistantly good price. Fresh and tasty. What's better than a delicious cheeseburger? Answer: TWO or THREE (or, perhaps a big meatloaf) --- On Friday's grocery list: 10 more pounds of WM hamburger
The "fat" is on the label and is the percent contained in the meat. I did not have any problems with this, as it seemed to be the same as any other burger I have purchased in clear packages with the same percent(s) of fat on the labels. I oftened wondered what the meat would look like, in a roll like sausage is packed, and you can't see what is inside. I was surprised! There was not any difference in the way the meat looked or the way it was ground up. So, I have ordered several times in this package and I know it will be just fine when I open it up! The flavor was good as well, so yes I will continue to order and would recommend it to anyone who is not sure if they have never tried it.
I don't know what the actual ingredients are in this crap. but your money is better spend (for your health) on a package you can see thru or an 80 % hamburger. when cooked, it resembles something but has no taste of beef and the large meat patty will shrink to nearly half in size and weight. I even tried to feed a chunk of the raw and the cooked version to my starving dog and it would not eat it. Good Job WalFart... another crap food rip off in a hidden package that a starving dog refuses to eat it and a dog will eat its own crap or others! Just proves walFart only wants your money and does not care about you nor your health. Just the money in your pocket$. BTW, I only rated this as a 5 as WFart censors the negatives out to create the illusion of quality and euphoria..
Great item. I use it for making about 6 freezer meals. I brown the meat, add it to freezer bags with other ingredients, freeze it, and then put it in the crock pot when it's time to use. Have had no problems with it. Had my latest item delivered 02-03-26 and it needs to be cooked or frozen by 02-15-26, so there's a good amount of time to get the cooking done.
This 10lb chub used to be like $27. The price has almost doubled but the quality has gone down. I had to get it on subscription just to bring the price down enough to buy it at all (and that was back when it was $42 a few months back), and it was so disappointing I haven't bothered again since. I can get better quality ground beef from a coop for $1.50 less a pound since I am fortunate enough to have enough freezer room to buy it 40lbs at a time. If you are able to do so, I recommend finding local sources in bulk instead of buying these chubs anymore. I feel bad for people on a fixed income just trying to make it! For anyone trying to make their ground beef stretch in this terrible economy, mix in a drained can of brown lentils while you are browning your meat. They mix right in aesthetically so you can trick picky eaters, will take on the flavor of any seasonings you use, and they are less than $2 a can and will really stretch the meat across multiple extra meals.
I’ve gotten this roll for many years and slowly watching the price go up and quality go way down! This time is just ridiculous tho it’s close to half fat in the tube! I pulled out most that was easy to get to as I usually cut these into 1lb sections and freeze so I know I missed some under the labels. It’s already so fatty %26 greasy when cooked but now it’s chunks of it rolled up trying to be disguised as meat. Do better Walmart
I had purchased two 10LB rolls of ground beef one of which happened to be spoiled and slimy on the same order I had previously had missing/damaged items I had just last night tried to make dinner for my family to find out the meat was spoiled and it wasn’t even a ordered on the 28th opened on the 31st few days old, and the expiration date wasn’t even near. I contacted support about the previous issues and they got resolved but now I contacted support about the beef and got a email saying they can’t do anything because I somehow violated return/refund policy and I did confirm if I could throw away the meat in which I was told I could BY SUPPORT. I’m extremely disappointed as a Walmart plus member… need better support.
Approximately 6 years ago around the time of COVID, this item cost $20 is extremely or should like extreme price gouging that it now costs $43 per 10 pound roll of ground beef, and it's only been 6 years later. That type of price gouging and inflation occurs over a longer period of time , typically like in the seventies where potato chips were twenty five cents for personal back and ships , and now it costs almost three dollars or two ninety 94 a personal back and chips , the best thirty plus years
I was charged $39.99 for this hamburger. However, this hamburger was only $31.15 and the difference was never credited to my card/account. Somebody had to have gotten credited the difference for the $8.79, but it wasn’t the paying customer. Also, I purchased this hamburger on August 6th. It was delivered August 6th to be used or frozen by August 7th. This does not do me a bit of good when I work 11 hour days and didn’t realize I was given a discounted hamburger roll that I paid full price on.
Wow, the meat and everything is perfectly OK instead of getting the full 10 pounds. I was cut off an ounce causing me not to have a full pound for my recipe tonight. I'm not looking for my money back. I just wanted to clarify that the words Road Walmart is not putting enough meat in their packages.
