Not only is the price amazing the quality is amazing. Well done Walmart. And I just find them to be wonderful by the way for myself because it's just myself and they're just the right amount and you don't have all the extra waste and if you want extra, you just buy an extra pie or two. 😊
From the hallowed ovens of Walmart comes a pie of considerable charm, the 8" Cherry Pie The Crust, the pastry is tender and light, providing a deep, buttery contrast to the fruit. —The Filling, the interior is lush with plump cherries that burst in every bite. The filling is thickened to perfection, so it is sliceable, yet retains a luscious, velvety consistency. I hold this pie in high regard!
I liked the pie it has a nice cherry flavor I wish it had more cherries in it. It has more of the sweet thick sauce with a smattering of cherries but the flavor is alright. This crust is a little too thick for my tastes but it's OK It tastes good, it crumbles but it's not flaky. I will order it again some time.
I found the crust a bit overdone for my tastes, and I am used to crusts made with lard. The crust texture was okay, but not great. If you don't have time to bake your own, this is a good substitute, and easily serves 5-6.
I haven't ordered this in a long time due to so many pits. I understand that happens with cherry pie, but I figured they may have improved on quality control, by now. It's a shame, because the crust is flaky, it's cooked well, and tastes great. If you don't mind crushing every bite with your fork to sort out pits, you may like this.
I've eaten pie many times before, but the last I'd say three or four times I bought it. I've just eaten a piece of it. I'm throwing it away. It just doesn't taste as good as it was tasting. I don't know what's been done different but I'm not gonna buy it anymore. The cherries still taste like cherries, but I think it's the crust.
The last pie I received was very undercooked with semi-raw crust. Additionally, there were hardly any cherries inside the pie, which was disheartening. Nevertheless, I usually receive a decent pie, so I will recommend this item . I assume this "sad" pie was a one-time fluke. Hopefully.
Who are you people that rated this pie as good? I'm hoping yours was different than mine. Mine went straight to the trash the moment I put a knife inside and saw the disgusting pink center. I don't think I even saw any real cherries in it and the crust was soft and doughy maybe even raw. This was so nasty. I did not invest my time to return it back to the store. I never bought a pie before that went straight to the trash.
When my Walmart grocery order was delivered, my pie from the bakery was completely frozen!!!! I think this was the first time I bought this, but it was a special occasion and good thing I didn't have company over for Easter, because it would have been so embarrassing to serve that to anyone! It was mostly a very thick, cheap tasting crust with very little filling. Also the filling was way too tart. It was extremely disappointing!!!
THIS is NTO about the cherry pie, but about the apple cider vinegar. I never did get it. I went over my order several times and I am saying that I JUST DID N O T GET IT. So please adjust my account accordingly. Thank you
