I've used Great Value Au Gratin Potatoes many times throughout the years. I hate to cook and after a working day, this was so much easier and quicker for everyone. I add peas and diced ham sometimes to dress it up for a great Sunday Supper Main Dish. It goes with chicken, beef and pork. I love the ease of making it. Now that we are retired, I went back to buying it as opposed to making a whole big dish from scratch. We can have it more often this way and don't get tired of eating it.
if you want to budget watching your pennies , these taste just as good as the name brand. I cook two boxes at a time make up a couple of containers and put in the freezer for later and enjoy some with my chicken breast and green beans. give them a shot you'll like them
These potatoes are alway good and easy to prepare. I am handicapped and it is hard to make myself a meal. I cook these as directed and add left-over chicken tenders; top it off with some side-dish as corn or spinach. It's a fairly healthy meal and big on flavor. I usually get two good meals from a box and that's really economical.
Add bacon, chopped ham. mushrooms or most everything you love to go with the cheesy potatoes. A little imagination can create a square meal in one pan!
When I don't have time to make homemade, these are my second choice. Easy to make in the oven or stove top. I always add a little onion to mine. Plus, I bake them just a little longer for a softer potato.
I make these for a side with my main dishes for dinner The taste is really good they are delicious they are easy to prepare the only thing I do not like about them is it seems like no matter how long I cook them for they never get completely soft they're always kind of firm
very good for a "box" mix- needed to make 2 packages as the servings are small- a lot of sodium but that is expected with a mix - overall very tasty and creamy- this will bake at any temp so you can make another side dish or meat at the same time
I had a problem with the potatoes, they were still tough to eat after cooking them and the taste was off.
I followed the stovetop directions and was very disappointed. The potatoes had no flavor to me, and were still slightly crunchy. The dish also had way too much sauce.
They are just not good, the taste is none. They are very bland and where just cooked past crunchy following directions. Spend the extra 50 cents and get the name brand. i absolutely would not recommend these if you value the taste of food.
