My favorite way to eat creamed corn and I know it sounds weird. I use it as gravy for my mashed potatoes. It taste great and you don't have to sit and stir and make gravy. It's just handy unconventional use.
These are undeniably creamier than competing brand names. Even if they're just a few cents cheaper, that savings adds up, and I choose flavor over brand every time.
every once in awhile, if you were raised in the South, you'd need creamed corn at some sudden moment. my Gramma used to make a corn casserole with creamed corn and cream and stuff and it was wonderful. this was all she used. I wish any on is had gotten the recipe. but eating this brings the memory back
Would recommend, however the quality of the product that you get at delivery is not consistent. The product may arrive in pristene condition, or may have seen better days. It depends on the care of the shopper who selects your items, and how it is transported. It can be disheartening at times, if you can't shop for yourself.
Corn is my %231 favorite vegetable! I buy Chunky Chicken Corn Chowder Soup, pour it into a big bowl and then mix a can of this creamed corn in with it. It is so good! You can never have too much corn! 😊 It taste great and it stretches out a can of soup into a few meals.
My family loves cream-style sweet corn, so this is a great tasting and a lower price option. It's also excellent to add to soups, casseroles, and cornbread recipes. I sometimes add just a sprinkle of sugar, and also grated cheddar cheese makes it creamy and delicious. Always has a good shelf life date, and when you can get the pull tab opening, that's a nice bonus.
Used with cornbread. …corn cobbler. 2 cans creamed corn, 2 frozen 10 oz(?) kernal corn, little honey and cinnamon, 2 honey cornbread mix packets, pats of butter to cover. Bake til golden brown yummmmeee!
This is a great little product in casseroles and scalloped corn. I like to take a can of this, a can of drained Great Value canned corn, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup heavy cream. You can add a little pepper if you want, but you shouldn't need salt. Mix it all togather and bake about 40 to 50 minutes at 375 degrees. It's done, when the center is just slightly jiggly. It will set up more in the pan. I've also used this with a can of cream of chicken soup, cooked cut up chicken and some mixed frozen vegetables. Top with crushed potato chips or bread crumbs mixed with some melted butter. Bake about 40 minues at 375 degrees. You can bake at 400 degrees, but my oven cooks pretty hot. I recommend this cream corn for your casseroles and scalloped corn dishes and the price is right. Thank you for reading my review.
purchased may 2026. unsure why wuality of product so poor. im a fan of GV store brand for its very close dupes but this one was mostly corn flavored starch goup. it didnt taste pleasing but was not unpleasant. the kernels were like corn had been left over from the canning of regular corn and thrown into this. the name brand i am a big fan of and for cents more in goong to buy that from now on. im shocked there are so many 5* reviews.
im not one to give bad feedback..however this product is absolutly terrible quslity as well as taste. most walmart value items are decent but this comes from the BOTTOM of the barrel. far better off going with the name brsnd for a few cents more
