lemme get this corny review out there for all my Wal-Buddies to read to they might consider this most bestest veggie the next time the menu calls for it. lemme tell you girlfriend, mmm-hmm, it’s right here in digital format, so you know it’s true. this corn is definitely more gooder than the corn brand that isn’t this good. you know it. gotta be true, ‘cause i said it and because it’s walmart. the “roll-backs” are in dah house, baby. oooo. and don’t forget the can this little side dish came in. mmm-hmm. perfect fit for that can opener i already had in my drawers. no special or hard to find $20 tool needed here, baby. it wouldn’t have gone down like that somewhere at one of those “safe” or “city” stores, if you know what i mean, right? now get yo’ grub on. and then watch that new mattock with kathy nate’s in it. girl bows how to tell it. ai didn’t help me with this article. lee wrote it and didn’t change the name. oh. and he didn’t tell me he was gonna write it until AFTER he posted it. jerk
Great Value products like their vegetables in a can are good for the family. Corn is very firm which goes good with making corn chowder. You can add it to any dish, homemade soups, corn bread. Adding corn into your cooking Especially if you have kids. It's the vestable kids trust. Having it in the meatloaf for it stays firm and it adds a touch of color to the meal.
The price is not bad and taste just like the name brands , especially with the price of food every little bit of savings helps. Financially it’s hard to feed a family of 3 and my daughter’s boyfriends who basically are adding 2 more so feeding five people on one income is extremely hard.. so finding deals are extremely important and finding food that is still healthy at low prices is my main priority
I am always impressed by the quality of this sweet corn. The kernels are consistently plump and crisp. It is an absolute must have for our pantry because it tastes just as good as the name brands at a fraction of the price. The canned portion size is exactly right for a quick family side dish.
The Great Value Golden Sweet Whole Kernel Corn is a fantastic pantry staple! The corn has a consistently fresh taste and a satisfyingly crisp texture that works well in salads or as a simple side dish. It's also very affordable, making it an easy choice for stocking up. Plus, the convenient pull-top lid (on most cans) makes meal prep that much faster.
These cans of corn are great when you need vegetables, quickly, to reheat. These are great in stews, as a side dish with mashed potatoes, in corn cakes, etc. We eat a lot of vegetables, so these cans are great. They have a good shelf life, as well. So no worries about food waste. They are reasonably priced, and when on sale, sometimes only .50 cents, a piece.
Can o corn, right? Heat and eat. Well you most likely make it differently than I do. Lets just say it involves good butter, gooood spices and a top notch cook with a top notch fry pan. I call it, "STREET CORN", born from all the flavors from all the street in all the places that I've visited.
This can of whole corn is perfect for stews and soups. It is also great as a simple side dish, especially with a potato and meat. In my opinion, it is as good as name brands and considerably cheaper. I like to keep several cans on hand. They can add flavor and body to many meals.
I don't have much occasion to use corn as just a side dish. With that said, when I do, I use this because it's very reasonably priced and it has a bit of a sweetness that isn't overbearing. Mostly, I use it in my soups...vegetable---taco...you know...and it really is good corn.
I purchased 8 cans of corn, and 8 cans of cream style corn. All 16 cans were shipped in a box as individual cans, (not wrapped) with no padding material . When I received the cans they were so dented I seriously doubt a can opener will open the cans. Really poor packaging and shipping. Walmart needs to take a serious look at who is packaging their orders.
