I am picky when it comes to pizza sauce and I previously bought small jars of 3 different brands to do a taste test. This beat out the other popular brands. I was so surprised, I don't believe in spending more money or buying a brand name if the flavor quality is sub par. So now I keep a jar or 2 on hand for making pizzas at home.
Very good tasting pizza sauce rather you are using it for pizza or pasta, it tastes amazing and pairs well with cheeses and toppings. It is seasoned well, and is not overly salty like some sauce brands can be on the market. I think for the price you get a great amount, as it made 3 large pizzas with one jar.
I'm really happy with this Great Value Pizza Sauce. It has a great, classic herb flavor that isn't too sweet or overly acidic. The consistency is just right—thick enough to stay put on the dough without making it soggy, but still easy to spread. It's a huge timesaver for homemade pizza nights and honestly tastes just as good as the more expensive brands. This 23.9 oz jar is the perfect size for a couple of large pizzas!
Who wants to pay too much for those tiny condiment cups with your delivery pizza? Keep this on your shelf and you'll always have the extra sauce you want for your delivery pizza, or for the ones you bake yourself. This is fresh tasting and easy to heat in the microwave.
There are few store brand sauces out there that actually taste just as good, if not better than name brand ones. This one is pretty good. It's the perfect balance of acidity and spices. It's become a staple in our household replacing an old favorite we've used since we were kids.
I could swear the consistency of this pizza sauce used to be much thicker. This stuff is very watery now, it's like a 16oz of the Prego Puzzeria sauce with 8oz of water added. Unless you're desperate, just get a namebrand or make your own with tomato sauce %26 paste
There is no sugar, so don't expect a sweet savory sauce… Took off a couple of stars because of the runny consistency. This is too thin for pizza sauce, added some dehydrated potatoes to thicken it up, and a little catch-up to sweeten it, which made it much more tolerable. recommend using your favorite pasta sauce instead! Disappointing…
This tasted like spaghetti sauce and not pizza sauce at all. I added italian seasoning %26 italian cheeses but the spaghetti taste still came through. Used on french bread pizza. Will use it as spaghetti sauce instead since I don't want to waste it. I don't recommend it.
This isn't pizza sauce. This is one can of tomato paste and about 18 ounces of water. Pizza sauce should have less water, so it doesn't make the crust soggy. No flavor, barely seasoned. Really disappointing. Rao's Margherita is excellent, and even the Contadina Pizza Squeeze is better. I guess I'll use the rest of this for pasta, although I'll need to add a lot to it.
What the heck happened to the Walmart pizza sauce?! If I wanted tomato, flavored water I would make it myself! The last jar was wonderful end of the quality that I have enjoyed over the years. Today we went to make meatball subs with the pizza sauce and it was pure thin watered down sauce! Definitely a waste of my money! Thank goodness I had some tomato paste to add to it. If I get it like this again I will definitely ask for a refund. It is a real shame because the diet pancake syrup was just like this!
