I'm really happy with this Great Value Pizza Sauce. It has a great, classic herb flavor that isn't too sweet or overly acidic. The consistency is just right—thick enough to stay put on the dough without making it soggy, but still easy to spread. It's a huge timesaver for homemade pizza nights and honestly tastes just as good as the more expensive brands. This 23.9 oz jar is the perfect size for a couple of large pizzas!
Who wants to pay too much for those tiny condiment cups with your delivery pizza? Keep this on your shelf and you'll always have the extra sauce you want for your delivery pizza, or for the ones you bake yourself. This is fresh tasting and easy to heat in the microwave.
I usually order the smaller jar of pizza sauce, but got this instead. Made 4 pizzas! Amazing flavor, doesn't taste fake. Used half jar, then another half a week later. So it lasted in fridge for a bit. Not too sweet, not too salty. Great work great value!
This particular brand of Pizza sauce is especially well done. The flavor and texture is perfect for fixing homemade pizza flavored foods that need LOTS of flavor and a smooth texture. It's also a great value for the money. It's a fantastic dipping sauce for bread sticks or pita chips.
So in life, you learn from your mistakes. I ordered 8 jars of this Great Value Pizza Sauce, thinking it was spaghetti sauce. I was upset until I found out that this pizza sauce is delicious on homemade pizza. Plus, to be honest, I used it as spaghetti sauce once. LOL
this pizza sauce taste just like homemade. I was very surprised because sometimes we feel that a great value brand might not taste as good as much higher priced items or name brands but this was not the case. the sauce keeps quite a while in the refrigerator as long as you keep the cap on tight. I've used this on paninis, bagel pizzas, as well as homemade pizzas. definitely worth the price and last a long time
There is no sugar, so don't expect a sweet savory sauce… Took off a couple of stars because of the runny consistency. This is too thin for pizza sauce, added some dehydrated potatoes to thicken it up, and a little catch-up to sweeten it, which made it much more tolerable. recommend using your favorite pasta sauce instead! Disappointing…
This isn't pizza sauce. This is one can of tomato paste and about 18 ounces of water. Pizza sauce should have less water, so it doesn't make the crust soggy. No flavor, barely seasoned. Really disappointing. Rao's Margherita is excellent, and even the Contadina Pizza Squeeze is better. I guess I'll use the rest of this for pasta, although I'll need to add a lot to it.
Look at the label: this "pizza sauce" is just tomato puree and water. The only reason I buy it is because tomato sauce comes in a can and this comes in a resealable jar. Otherwise, I'd just use tomato sauce and save a few cents because I have to add garlic salt and Italian seasoning to get this "pizza sauce" to taste like anything.
What the heck happened to the Walmart pizza sauce?! If I wanted tomato, flavored water I would make it myself! The last jar was wonderful end of the quality that I have enjoyed over the years. Today we went to make meatball subs with the pizza sauce and it was pure thin watered down sauce! Definitely a waste of my money! Thank goodness I had some tomato paste to add to it. If I get it like this again I will definitely ask for a refund. It is a real shame because the diet pancake syrup was just like this!
