if you like to cook homemade sauces like I do, this tomato paste is in my opinion, a must to have on hand. it has a very light flavor and you can make some delicious sauces with this weather is for pizza, spaghetti sauce or just your favorite marinara sauce this is tomato paste is one of my favorite ingredients.
These days, canned tomato products need to be thickened a great deal more than, say, thirty or forty years ago. (If a product can be watered down...count on the men in the white lab coats to jump on it)! I thicken all of my tomato sauces made from old recipes. This paste is a great value and a real meal enhancer. You're welcome! Peter
For the price, this tomato paste is a great deal. It has a smooth texture and a nice, simple tomato flavor. It's ready to use as a soon as you open the can, no mixing required. This tomato paste might not be fancy, but it is good and can be used anywhere tomato paste is required. If you're recipe only calls for a small amount of tomato paste, you might want to be prepared to freeze the leftovers. This is one of my go-to choices when I'm shopping for tomato paste, since it is a better deal than a lot of other brands and I think it tastes good too.
I use GV Thick tomato 🍅 paste as an added ingredient in many of my seasonal recipes. It is Truly a great addition to all of my soups, stews, gravies, sauces, it improves all of the delicious 😋 flavors of the spices. Great for Pasta sauces, kicks up the appearance of everything and has a long shelf life, I recommend!
Great value tomato paste is a cupboard, staple for me. I'm a widow on a fixed income, so my budget is very important, I cook everything from scratch and tomato paste is a big part of that process. Sometimes the cans are too big and I have a lot of tomato paste left over to put in the refrigerator so what I do is put the paste in ice cube trays and freeze them. Then I bag them up and label them and date them and use them as they need right out of the freezer. This allows me to save a lot of money. I don't lose food and I know I have it there when I need it. I tend to keep one or two cans in the cupboard extra. I prepare stews often and this tomato paste is important for that. Great value tomato paste allows me to stay in my budget, which I have to watch very closely when it comes to buying food.
This can contains an incredible amount of tomato flavor. I use it in spaghetti sauces as well as adding additional flavor to other dishes. I purchase a few at a time and know it is shelf stable and no need to rush to use it.
I use these for tikkas, and they're just the right size to use half of for one dish, then freeze the other half for a future dish. I also use them in my chili, but sincerely, using this for tikkas is essential for the right flavor and color.
great flavor and texture tomato paste. no complaints! I portion this out into 1 tablespoon size pats and freeze between layers of parchment paper for easy meal portioning.
I've never cooked something that required tomato paste but a recent recipe called for it so I purchased this. Works well but I'm not a big fan. I use fire roasted diced tomatoes instead. I'm a widower so I experiment with recipes.
I use tomato paste with diced or crushed tomato as my sauce when I make my lasagna or when I make a tomato sauce slow cooked in my multi cooker pot to cook the dry noodles at the same time.
