I use this mix every time I make chili and I have never had a complaint about my chili. It's easy to use and tastes great. I do however, add chili powder and crushed red peppers also so it depends on if you like it hot or bold. I like it both hot and bold so I used to McCormick‘s mix then I actually power on top of it and then I add crushed red peppers on top of that. I'm like I said I've never had a complaint yet.
This McCormick Original Chili packet is hands-down my absolute go-to seasoning mix every single time I make a batch. It completely takes the guesswork out of spice ratios and creates a rich, classic flavor every single time. The heat level is spot on—it gives you just enough kick to know it's chili, but it is not overwhelming at all, making it perfect for the whole family. I love how well the spices blend into the tomato base without tasting powdery or artificial. To me, throwing in plenty of dark red kidney beans is a must for the perfect texture, and this seasoning coats everything beautifully. It is incredibly quick, easy to use, and turns a simple ground meat and bean dish into a delicious, comforting dinner in under thirty minutes. I always keep three or four of these packets stocked in my pantry for an easy weeknight meal!
everyone has there own special secret chili recipe. well the secret to my chili is this chili seasoning packet makes all the difference in the world it's perfect.😁😁😁😋
Always have many packets on hand. Last minute guests? Chili is a crowd favorite. I add a can of Mexican corn white rice, corn bread and melted Mexican cheese served our guests. i think they will be back
Great tasting chili mix -- sautee an onion, brown a pound of ground beef, add this chili mix, an undrained can of red kidney beans, and a can of undrained DelMonte Diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano. and allow to lightly simmer for 10 minutes and 'marry' all the flavors -- delicious !!
McCormick has great spices. I always keep several of their chili version packets on hand, especially in the winter. Each packet flavors one pound of ground beef. The McCormick chili gets compliments every time I make it. There is not a lot of heat. It's just mildly spicy.
I use it when I make chili. I use chicken breast cut into small cubes instead of ground beef, one can each of kidney beans, corn and stewed tomatoes with Italian spices. Brown the chicken and add the spice package to the chicken. It gets distributed better this way. Include the liquid in the cans. If the chili seems too watery to you, just add some flour to cold water. Let it cook on low for awhile. Serve with grated cheese, chopped onions. sour cream.etc. Enjoy!
The flavor is well balanced without being too spicy. I like that I don't have to measure out a bunch of different ingredients. It blends easily into the meat and beans and gives my chili a classic, hearty taste every time. It's simple, consistent, and makes weeknight cooking much easier.
I have used McCormick Chili Seasoning for a long time and it always adds zest to every pot I make. It is good.
This is the best chili mix that I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I cooked it with ground Jennie O turkey and Bush chili beans, it was so delicious.
