When changing car batteries - - either by yourself or via a mechanic - - it's a good idea to add terminal protectors to prevent battery gases from corroding the battery terminals. These fit the bill nicely. They are made of felt and a wax-like substance, such as paraffin or similar. Before connecting the new battery, put one of the two rings on each terminal. Easy-peasy, and avoids messier alternatives such as grease and inhibitor sprays, which can degrade over time, not to mention that improperly secured terminals could slip off with mis- or overly-applied grease and similar products. A minor quibble: I wish the rings came in two colors to help quickly identify the terminals polarity (i.e., positive or negative). However, the all-black colors do not affect the functionality, and most car-savvy people would check the battery, itself, for the polarity, when the need arose. As a backyard mechanic of 40 years, I have never had corrosion issues with this and similar felt rings, so I strongly recommend this product.

Getting tired of the acid buildup around my terminals. These pads really help and will extend the life of your batteries. Add these to each of my vehicles with the purchase of a new battery. Simple, cheap and perfect. Walmart had the best prices.

It was LATE in shipping which meant I had to wait 2 days to install the battery/ ALSO I left a core replacement battery and was refunded $12 in cash. I can't find my invoices but I thought it should have been $22. PLEASE SEND ME THE INVOICE AS I CAN'T RETRIEVE IT or don't know how

Dirt cheap and they slow corrosion. For .99, it's a great deal.

I like that the kit has the bottle along with a couple of pads. The terminals in my vehicles have a tendency to get build up after a while and an inhibitor is useful to keep them clean and allow proper power flow to start them. Hoping this will last a while…

it seems to be working but rudiculously priced for what it is ' not.much better than competitors so overall buy the cheapest one you can find and be happy as price doesnt reflect quality.
