Drain tomatoes, save liquid! I highly recommend this product, and my favorite use is Mexican (lightly browned) rice! Drain the tomatoes, save juice! I brown the rice until light golden brown in frying pan, in I a small amt of vegetable or olive oil, then add 1 cup of liquid, (consisting of some of the liquid I drained from the tomatoes and some chicken broth). Cook until ready...perfect flavor!

Rotel brand is the best most consistent and best tasting product of its kind. The mild version has just the right balance of flavor and heat that makes it just right for use with many recipes calling for diced tomatoes and green chilies. Many store brands are comparable, but rarely equal in terms of flavor profile. I find it works great in Cajun, rice, or casserole dishes. Can't go wrong with Rotel.

If you're like me and can't take the heat, this mild version is a perfect blend. We use it in black bean soup and other soups that call for tomatoes. Adds the spices so you don't have to figure them out yourself. Does that make me lazy?

I have tried the generic Rotel, and it is missing the spices part of the tomatoes and green chilies. I highly recommend Rotel brand because of the quality.

This is a great item with which to experiment . I use it in stuffed peppers instead of rice and in chicken enchiladas mixed with cream cheese and onions as a filling. It can be added to many recipes to give a subtle flavor change.

These are my favorite brand of diced tomatoes, with green chiles in them to spice them up. Every can I've bought here is good and Walmart's price can't be beat. They're a nice addition to almost anything savory I cook; they're even great on sandwiches.
