Buying this hamburger is smart. Look at the price, compared to the 70/30 hamburger… like they say in the plains, “..it ain't much more.” It also appears unmolested, because there have been reports of other retailers receiving hamburger laden with red dye. Go with this. It's good quality.
Quality meat that was fresh and delicious. The size is convenient and the meat was a nice pink color and it had no weird smell. It cooked well, remained moist and the grease was not excessive. I am a single person who used it to make hamburger helper and I had leftovers for another two servings. It was an awesome purchase and is my new favorite Walmart discovery.
Not sure about others, but I find these easier to store in my freezer. Plus when I want a pound of burger, I simply cut off one edge and roll out the meat. I find the meat is easier to break apart in the pan versus saran wrapped burger. Also tastes fresher.
Always fresh at my local store. I appreciate that the meat is sealed and well protected from light and environmental exposure, and it's extended expiration date. I love using this ground chuck in hamburgers and any dishes like spaghetti or tacos. After browning, I like to strain the excess fat into a container to dispose of once it's solidified. The taste is predictable and delicious.
This ground beef was a great bath this ground beef was a great boy for the price and tasted just as good as any other grocery stores. I highly recommend buying it, especially when it's on sale. for the money and tasted; was just as good as any other grocery stores. I highly recommend buying it, especially when it's on sale.
For the money it's tender not grainy like most hamburger. Lots of fat though. For spaghetti it's great just have to drain it well. I get the 85 fat ant it's still like soup. But the meat is tender like hamburger everywhere use to be. The Walmart packaged hamburger (no matter the fat percentage), is grainy not tender (I know how to cook), but you get more meat and less fat. We choose the tender- And use two if needed.
This is not the best I have ever eaten but for the value of the meat it makes dinner easy and worth the money. It is not particularly tender, or amazing consistency, but the convenience of the packaging and cook time makes dinner and snacks like nachos worth it.
The meat is good. It's 80/20 hamburger. Good flavor and fat content. EXTREMELY overpriced. Meat prices are through the roof and it's ridiculous. 4 years ago, I could see it. Not now. No reason for grocery prices to be where they are other than greed. I would avoid buying these overpriced items to put pressure on them to lower prices.
It arrived frozen with meat leaking out of one side, and when I tried to wipe it off black stuff came off with it. After cooking it it had a lot of fat but it did have a lot of meat. The seasoning wasn't very strong but you could taste it. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it is that it has a lot of fat
okay...honestly. This must be a different supplier and I doubt it is truly domestic...ALLEGEDLY, my opinion! The taste is not great. I won't be purchasing it again, but it would probably be passable if highly seasoned? I'm not fond of ground turkey...but that's the route I'll go before this again. Sorry...
