80% Lean / 20% Fat Ground Beef Chuck, 1 lb Roll, Fresh, All Natural*

This is my go-to ground meat. The meat is reliably good, it does not produce an abundance of fat, and it's really easy to store. I don't have to stand at the meat counter and review weights searching for the one that's closest to 1 pound; very convenient.

Not sure about others, but I find these easier to store in my freezer. Plus when I want a pound of burger, I simply cut off one edge and roll out the meat. I find the meat is easier to break apart in the pan versus saran wrapped burger. Also tastes fresher.

I float the frozen roll in the sink in cold water and it is thawed enough to cut with a sharp knife within an hour. As I slice through the unwrapped partially thawed roll i put the ground meat into my pan and it is cooking within minutes and ready for add ins.

I started using this for several reasons. The weight if always consistant for my meal preps. the fat content is where I expect for 80/20 ground beef, and the packaging freezes well with no noticeable freezer burn for several months. The price is always a factor and this product is a reasonable price!

I recently tried this 1 lb ‘moo-tube' and it was not bad. I have difficulty with these meats packaged like breakfast sausage because you don't where the meat is coming from. I tried a 3 lb tube; but, it began to spoil almost immediately despite the remaining half being sealed back up. It's worth a try if you feel like it. Lots of fat when fried for crumbles to be used in different recipes.

Meat that must say”Natural*” (notice “*”?) makes you wonder if it even is because there is no footnote what that means for meat that doesn't say anything. Also, all mest is seemingly quedtionable; is it even real meat? No USDA Grade stamp or approval. Even if it isnt real meat from the animal that its labled, does the US Dept of Agrigculture mean anything anymore? Even if it is made from plant based and/or some type of synthetic? We know that the FDA approval doesnt mean a thing anymore either. “Duped” goes farther than the unknowing consumer these days, right?!!!!!! Question everything even if ‘says' all natural. It sucks that means nothing anymore

I keep buying this meat because it's convenient but I don't love it. No matter how I cook it, I struggle with it being a little chewy. The taste is fine. The metal clamps on the end make it so I can't defrost it in the microwave, which is a bummer.

Ordered through instacart delivery. Unfortunately, when I went to use it a couple of days later, it was past the use by date. Not sure if the shopper did not pay attention to use by date or if store doesn't restock with fresher ground beef regularly. Had to toss in the trash. Will buy my meat from Kroger in the future

left the day before after they said it will be delivered on July 4th at the wrong door instead of the main entrance and left it in the rain. the meat and yogurt but are thawed and I don't trust them because it was so hot out. The delivery was supposed to be around 5 or 7 and was not able to be delivered because when I called at after 8, they said they had no drivers to deliver it and it would be delivered July 4th next day.
