85% Lean/15% Fat Ground Beef, 1lb Roll, Frozen

I know that some people prefer ground chuck, but this roll of ground beef sold me due to the 85/15% claim. It did not disappoint. It cooked and tasted fine. I especially love to buy these rolls. The size is so easy to store in the freezer instead of the cellophane wrapped packages.

Buying a pound of beef isn't cheap so this is a good solution. It also saves quite a bit of space. Although I do prefer factory sealed products, this is the best alternative when budgeting and having a fridge stocked with necessary ingredients that can be made into many convenient and less time consuming dishes.

My son loves this for the meals he makes. It's good ground beef, and I've eaten it a few times. It easily seasons and adds protein to many dishes. The meat will be tender if you cook it right and at the right temperature. We think this is a good ground beef. It stores easily in the freezer and does not seem to burn in the deep freeze when placed inside a deep freeze bag.

Very greasy,, I realize its 85/15, but I was making tacos and you need a little bit of fat for taste.. This was horrible. Even the dog walked away..lol.. Plus it was leaking blood all over my order. I will stick to supermarket 90%,, more money but a better quality. Or Bison.

Bought this because the usual better quality wasn't available. Not the best taste or texture. Found hard pieces in the meat after cooking. The meat sauce meatballs or burgers were not the up to the quality of the higher percentage of ground beef Walmart offers.

i didnt realize itbwas a frozen roll when i ordered my groceries but thats on me. The meat iself had an aroma that wasnt plesant to me. I didnt smell spoiled but it was different. it cooked up ok but i didnt find it tasty at all. The majority of the meat was disposed of.

The product is good in general. The problem is the frequency of damaged packages. From a pin hole to a slit, many of the rolls are either leaking blood or leak in the fridge defrosting. Itbisnt unusual for this type of product to leak at the ends while defrosting, but these are injured in some way compromising the wrapper.

I ordered this fresh ground beef to use for my evening meal and it was scheduled to arrive when I was going to start cooking. When it arrived it was frozen solid. I had to find another way to feed me family and it cost me $47. The meat itself is only average, not a lot of flavor and seems to have a lot of fat or water cook out of it making it somewhat tought. But the price is competitive.

I bought a few of these 1lb packages and they are a rip off. As if times aren't tough Walmart is not giving us what we paid for. The first package I opened was very mushy from excess liquid. The next one I opened I decided to weigh it after I let the liquid drain off. The liquid was exactly 1/4c. The meat weighed .853 lbs that is 13..65 ounces out of 16 ounces. I think all meat has some sort of natural liquid but a 1/4c is way too much for 1lb package of ground beef. USDA says that the meat should weigh the correct given amount after the liquid is drained. I will not buy this again.

delivery was to the public front porch not the back as directed. the order was short two boxes of pudding mix. I don't tip, ever, anywhere. Is that why only one delivery was correct (Tin). Mohammed left thawed frozen ground beef at the front door. My car is in the shop. Next time I will get Target to deliver.
