Great for low impact exercising!

Dave500 September 23, 2020

Overall, I really like these Athletic Works Mini-Loop exercise bands. I'm a tall guy, weigh about 180, and they are the right size. I think most people would benefit from using them. I put them around my knees while watching TV or reading, and exercise my thighs in comfort. I've tried all 3, and have chosen to start with the light tension, and slowly work toward the heavy tension. I also use them on my arms and even my feet. They are the right size for most people, although they may be small for very overweight people. I've tried other workout bands, but like these the best due to their compact size. They also are of high quality and should last a long time.

Nice

I enjoy using these because i have sciatica, and these help me build my core strength. They're easy to use and i can just sit there and use them while watching tv.

These are great!!!

Nicole123 September 19, 2020

These bands are great! Color-coded and also say what level they are. Light, medium, heavy. The instructions say that you can wash with mild soap and leave to dry, that's nice to know that these are washable. They are smaller in thickness than other ones I have seen. The light band is actually pretty hard so it's nice to know you can start with the lowest and work your way up to heavy. It's cool to see improvement in that way. I also enjoy the colors!

Great for home physical therapy

SecretSquirrel January 9, 2021

Great resistance bands. These come in a box with individual plastic bags inside so I can store them between using them. It makes it nice so they don't get tossed around the room. Also, the box states the resistance of each band, so keeping them in the box is helpful. They seem to be very durable. I am using these for physical therapy at home and am starting on the lowest resistance, so they'll work for some time to come.

No variety of exercises?

Chris October 7, 2020

The color coding is nice. I was severely disappointed that there were no additional suggestions on how to use these bands besides the image on the outside of the box. The included flyer on care and tips is adequate as to care and general exercise tips. However nothing is mentioned as to types of exercises.

Strong

Marybeth September 23, 2020

My son and I both tested these bands out with several different exercises and we both could feel the burn. I used them up high on the quads and down low. It stretches good but it always went back to it's original size. Stay tuned to see how long they last with daily use.

For short stretch only.

Anonymous September 20, 2020

These are not the large and long exercise stretches. They are for short pulls only because there is not enough material to stretch, say, 30 inches. They are permanently encircled, ie: you can't tie a knot in the ends to change the length. I use them mostly on a coat hook mounted to a door, put my back-elbow against the door, and pivot outwardly (like arm-wrestling). For the money, they're pretty good to add to your workout toolbox.

Save your shoulders! Also, a warning…

T April 16, 2024

It was hard to find smaller closed loop bands for the exercises I needed. I'm a 6ft tall man, but I needed smaller bands for a shoulder rehabilitation exercise and they work great! In our modern world, a lot of damage can be done over time by bending our neck to look at phones, computers, countertops, etc. Sliwly I had found that my shoulders were rotating forward and causing neck, upper back pain, even beginning to affect the way I stand. The corrective exercise is simple, but you must commit to doing it at least a few times a day. I could tell a difference almost immediately. I stand or sit with the band looped around my arms, near my wrist, palms up. I pin my elbows to my sides and SLOWLY push my hands outward while keeping my elbows in place, making sure I focus on stretching and engaging the upper part of the back of my arm. When I feel a stretch (I don't strain, it should feel challenging, but still natural and controlled) I slowly bring my hands back to the start. Retraining these muscles works fairly fast if they are under utilized. My only issue is the product comes with a cancer warning due to the materials, which I inside is because of possible toxicity in the rubber. I make sure to wash my hands after using and do not touch my face, etc. I never leave reviews but I couldn't find any rows addressing my specific needs and I just hope to help somebody out if they're struggling in the same way. Be patient, you got this! 💪
