My son wanted a telescope for Christmas we saw this on walmart.com great price and my son just loves it. He's 10 years old. He spent hours outside looking at the moon and other things

I purchased this for my granddaughter's 12th birthday and I am delighted with it and so is she. The quality and viewing is excellent, especially for the price. My son, who is an avid stargazer was amazed at the results compared to his much more expensive one. We live in a rural area and my granddaughter and I love to watch the birds with the telescope also.

Besides making the ordering, shipping, and receiving easy; Walmart made this a great price. Which helped keep my budget down, but gave me the opportunity to give my 12 year old grandson something he really wanted. He and his father are using it all the time; and learning more with each use. I just love giving presents that can help with personal growth, and this is just perfect!

It was a gift for my grandson who is 11 years old. It had some nice features and is his first telescope. He seems to enjoy it and that's what counts. This beat several other telescopes I compared it with. Even E-Bay couldn't come close to the price. Good Deal.

I was very pleased with the site to store option and delivery time. I was somewhat surprised by the size and bulkiness of the telescope, however. It was a gift for my 12 year old grandson, and I am not at all certain he will ever master the telescope. I tried it, and once I zeroed in on the moon, I was pleasantly surprised with all the detail. The telescope is big, somewhat heavy, and a bit cumbersome. Other than that, it is a wonderful price for a nice, quality item.

Just got this one as a gift. Good optics with enough magnification for Moon and planet observation. It also provides corrected image that is suitable for land object, such as bird viewing. The mount is strong enough for the telescope and easy to assembly. I like the color as well.

I purchased this product for my son at Christmas time. We love it. We are able to see the moon very clearly along with the craters on the moon. The tripod is very stable and the telescope is very high quality in my opinion. We can't wait to see what else we can discover in the nights sky! We look forward to looking at the planets when temps get warmer and we can go outside. I would highly recommend this telescope.

Bought this telescope recently. I have to admit that iOptron is not a company I am familiar with (I actually didn't know any telescope brand name before I bought this one). I picked it up in a Walmart store a few days after ordering online. When I opened the box, it was a pleasant surprise. This $99 scope is very solidly build. Craftsmanship is superb. I observed the moon and several other planets a few nights ago and the optics seems very good too. Love it!

I am happy with the product I purchased for my Grandson and so was he... There were not instructions on how to put it together, only pictures of what is in the box.. so I think that should be improved on, it did take longer than it should have to assemble it. The shipping company that Walmart uses really stinks! I wish we could choose who we use for shipping. Fedex carriers always delivers damaged products with out a signature needed, therefore the damage may not be noted as it should be. The box the product was shipped in had a hole in the side large enough I could put my hand through it and feel the product... thank goodness the telescope and lens were not affected. I would like to use UPS shipping and wish that was an option with shipping Walmart products to my home. Other than that, I would recommend this product to anyone that is interested in it. I would have given a higher rating but the shipping condition was taken into consideration also

I bought this telescope for my 13 y.o. daughter as a Christmas gift. The images of the moon and other objects in the solar system will appear extremely small but very very clearly detailed. My daughter gets frustrated when trying to see stars or planets, because it's very difficult to focus on these objects: it requires much precision plus it is eye straining. On the other hand, this telescope is EXCELLENT for viewing wildlife. Images of squirrels, birds, etc are enormous. ABOVE average telescope for the beginner...
