I love this meat because I hate draining fat off and this literally absorbs with the meat. I hate that a pound of ground beef costs the same amount as an hour of a minimum wage salary, so a person has to work one hour just to buy a pound of good ground beef... That's really sad to me...
I like that you dont have to drain this ground beef after browning. You get more for your money because the fattier meat like 80/20 has more fat and less product , So in the end you get more meat and it tastes better. Just costs a bit more. I would recommend you try this.
I used to buy my hamburger from our local meat market, but then something about the taste of it was different. It had like an after taste that just tasted a bit off to me. Your hamburger just tastes so much better. I buy the lean beef and I'd recommend it to anyone.
This 1 roll, 1 lb of lean ground beef, all natural minimally processed with no artificial ingredients and 23 grams of protein per servings. Excellent source of protein and good source of iron per serving. Great for making hamburgers , lasagna, baked ziti ect.
I was always skeptical to buy hamburger sold packaged this way. I always liked to SEE the hamburger I was buying. I have been buying it like this for a couple of years now. It used to be a much better value than it is now. Presently, it's about as much as hamburger in the packages that are a tray and plastic wrap. The taste is comparable to what you would expect. The fat content seems to be true at 7%. I usually don't even have to drain it after cooking. So if you are on the fence, just try it!
I love this hamburger 93% lean on 7% fat and it cooks up so well with not all the fat. This is the only ground beef that I use now. It's convenient coming in the 1 lb roll. I buy at least 2 of them every time I shop to keep in my freezer so I'm never out of it. It is a little expensive, but well worth it for the quality.
Not always 16 oz. but close enough not to mind. Since it is not processed as much as the hamburger meat you get in the trays, its expiration date is usually a few days later than the trays' date, which is great when you won't use the whole pound in one meal.
This meat tastes fine, but it isn't in a convenient package to open up and actually get the meat out. I stopped at hassling with these tubes and now I buy the ground beef that comes flat in the package. Those are so much easier to open, and it costs less per pound to buy the 2 pound package anyway rather than the 1 pound one.
This is the lean chub of ground beef. I buy it all the time but this time it was full of fat globules some a Little larger than quarters and there weren’t many it filled up my hands. Very poor quality 7 something a pound ridiculous. They did refund me I bought 2 and they were both the same.
I always buy 93/7 ground beef, and use paper towels to soak up the fat after browning the meat. It always takes 3-4 paper towel sections to soak up all the fat. This ground beef chub took 6 paper towel sections, almost twice as much. The flavor was fine, but if I'm paying extra for lean beef, I want what I'm paying for.
