Perfect amount of fat — Not too much, Not too little! We DO NOT LIKE when there's so much fat in the ground chuck that a thick, hardened layer of orangish grease fat forms on top of the leftover meat in the refrigerator. GROSS! With these percentages of 96% Lean %26 4% Fat, the hardened layer of orange fat that usually exists in our leftovers after using a 70%/30% ground chuck, is practically NON EXISTENT HERE!! The kids don't turn up their noses when I reheat leftovers for dinner that contain this Extra Lean meat. They ask me, “Mom, can you get the meat that we like; the kind that doesn't have the ‘orange gunk'?”
I cannot eat over 4% fat and recently added meat. Imagine if you can that first bite of a hamburger and being in 7th heaven! That was me until my store kept telling me it was out stock . Finally I called the meat department and guess what...they've never been out of stock! The delivery department told me they get the info the main computer systems. So not only has corporate decided to start charging the most vulnerable $6.99 delivery fee under $35. but now hiding expensive food from us. HEALTHY FOOD!!
Truthfully for the cost, it's nothing great. You're better off going to a local meat market or butcher. Not really, a fan of Walmart beef. It's excessively red colored, which, of course is not natural. Beef by nature starts to oxidize and turn brown/ grey when air hits it. This does not so it goes without saying there's additives that cause it from happening . With the cost of meat and beef I don't see the value there Price point it's equivalent to practically anywhere else
I order this every two weeks unfortunately the burger is really good one time I get it but then the next time it's not good. I'm assuming it's who's ever working in the meat department. One of them is doing an awesome job but the other time there are bone fragments in it and like tendon type things in it which really makes me sick to my stomach. If I could figure the good week I would buy more and freeze it. It really sucks because it's not cheap.
When I used to buy this hamburger it was beautiful. But that was not my experience when I ordered thru pick up. I did not even use the meat someone else picked out for me. I am very fussy about the fat content. I wish WalMart would provide a space on our pickup order so the customer could provide some guidance to whomever is selecting our products. It forces us to do a second shopping somewhere else. Disappointing, time consuming and financially draining.
It's never really fresh. A family member was a certified meat cutter. To this day, you can watch manufacturing videos on YouTube that show how these are packaged to hide the less than fresh areas. The plants show the pinkest meat on top, and the extruded then folder packages it so the darker raw product is folded into the middles. I Every...DARN...TIME!
Disappointed I ask for 2- largest size containers of ground beef and 2- loafs of bread. I didn't get the bread and I was brought to tiny packages of ground beef that is what I received. That's not what I paid for not happy no more grocery shopping. 😠
Not at all happy, I never received my delivery, someone else living in the complex did. I however understand the reasoning behind the error. Where I live they incorporate alpha and numeric symbols. ie, A1,B1,etc...F1, G1, H1, and I1 thus the confusion. Using an Ariel font an I tends to look like a 1. I Tried to use this I-3, so as to not be mistaken for a 13, however it changed to how the post office shows the address. So I guess someone else received and cooked my meatloaf ingredients, cause it sure was not me. I had to settle for a tv dinner. I guess I expected more from a Walmart Plus membership.
I did smell an odor when I rec'd it, but instead of reporting it, I placed it in my freezer as I was not going to use it right away. Yesterday I started to thaw it as I was going to use it today. Lo and behold, it continued to have an odor once thawed. Being this is expensive and something that could cause a real illness, I am asking for a refund of this product. I will gather the details and call Customer Service once I do so, but this is a definite heads-up and scary!!!
fFesh meat on top, hidden underneath with old spoiled meat. Tried 3 times at different stores and same outcomes. Last time everyone got food poisioning. DO NOT BUY, But: Walmart needs to research as customer service promises to escalate but nothing transpires.
