my most favoritable Christmas movie of all times. filmed in black an white. 1938 version of Charles Dickens a Christmas carol staring reganol Owens. love this movie watch it over an over.

This movie is in black and white.
Excellent Holiday movie!! This movie was released in 1938. I saw this movie around Christmas of 2023(at a family Christmas get together). I've been looking for this movie since that time. I'm glad I found it.

Of all the versions of film this is by far the best. The cast is perfect, from Tiny Tim all the way to Scrooge himself. The cast play their roles realistically with no overacting or grandstanding. The focus is on the characters not the actors themselves.

I was concerned my family would think this boring because it is in black and white but they really enjoyed it! By far my favorite version of the Christmas Carol!!

Excellent version of "A Christmas Carol"!
This is one of the best adaptations of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Short and to the point, this version tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge with such emotion to the story and characters. The ending is also a bit different from most other versions, where Scrooge personally visits the home of his loyal employee Bob, which he fires earlier in the film (unlike other versions).

this is the original one, I'm pretty sure. The actors aren't necessarily at the level we might be used to but you can't go wrong with the classic story and the authenticity is excellent.
