The parts were miss aligned and it's not super sturdy but if you're doing linoprint it's workable. I think if I tried to push too hard something will bend but you can get reasonable pressure. Not sure if it's normal that the upper platen swings a bit when lowering it which means that it might shift on that last centimeter as it meets the bottom plate when handle is being pulled over. Maybe it's normal- I just don't know. The press had felt attached to the underside of the top platen and included an extra piece of adhesive backed felt for lower platen. Happy they didn't install it so that I could choose. I do use it to double up on a few trial prints. But overall its better than a tortilla press. Not sure how it stacks up to others. The included roller is garbage- literally. It's stinky, lumpy and unusable for inking. If I stick with this hobby I'll look for one of those roller presses but for now it's good enough.
