These 4 weight bags are reliable and sturdy. Bought this as a set with an easy up from same company. Did that thinking they probably made the weight bags for their easy ups. Super easy to strap the loops to the legs of the canopy and they're taller and big, which is better because it'll hold more and cover more surface area. The stitching looks solid too so will have to see if it stands the test of time and weather. And the pockets are big enough where it doesn't just have to be filled with sand, but you can also fit rocks, gravel, and other larger elements.
I am very limited in my towing capacity so these bags are great! Super light. I carry them empty and then fill up when I set up my canopy. I’ve been using rocks to fill them and they are holding up well.
I noticed these while buying a sun canopy and tried them out since we have had canopies fly away before in the wind. we filled these with some loose dirt from outside and attached them to our canopy on a windy day. They held it in place well and were easy to use. the bags are durable and should last a long time.
I have only used once so far, for about six hours. I filled with pea gravel., and could have added a bit more. I liked that they were easy to fill. And they can easily be refilled. They are porous and the gravel was wet going in, They leaked, but we kept the car clean by putting them in small plastic bags. The text next to us used the disc weights, which she had considered. They seem so much cleaner in design. The vendor using those said she doesn’t like the discs and wished she had purchased the bags we have. It wasn’t a breezy day at all, so couldn’t test how well it would hold the tent. My gut tells me that in a windy situation, some staking or additional weight might be needed. But for a paved lot, they worked great.
Solid construction, but the velcro straps do not go all the way around, if you're trying to wrap around a tent leg. Also, there isn't a great place to grab when carrying the bags. The "handle" should be a little longer. The zipper seems to be well constructed, so far.
These seem to be of good quality. My one concern is that we filled each of them with 30 pounds of sand and did not think we could put up to the 50 pounds. We are involved in an activity that requires us to have 40 pounds of weight on our EZ Up on each leg. Since we were not comfortable putting more sand than the 30 pounds we will be required to add a standard leg weight on the bottom of each. We had them, so we won't be out extra money, but it is extra items to carry.
There is no way this sand bag holds 50 lbs as advertised. If you are ok with 35-37 lbs, then sure, it’s a great product for a good price. I HARD packed sand with a couple river rocks amidst the sand and the best I could get was 37 lbs. I’ll add that bags I purchased previously which promised 40lbs only made it to 30, so I hoped I hoped this bag would surely make it to 40, which is required for most outdoor art festivals. I’m probably close enough, but I dislike false advertising! PS: Also, handle is too small and awkward to be helpful.
It came with the stitching coming out. Hard to install due to the straps being so short it could barely go around the legs of the tent. The zippers pop open so you have to be gentle when dealing with them. You get what you pay for. I DoNot recommend.
There are wholes where sand can easy come out as well as one was completely ripped. I bagged the sand to keep it from coming out and could barely fit 40 lbs much less 50. Inaccurate description and awful quality product. You can see the white plastic bag right through the seam… and all the little pin holes of light in the first pic. The last pic is the first one I filled… looks great, but again sand had to be bagged and it definitely didn’t want hold 50lbs.
THEY ARE JUNK , THE STITNG IS BAD , ONE BAG WAS SO BAD WHEN I RECEIVED IT YOU COULDN'T PUT SAND IN IT , TRYD TO GET IT REPLACED WITH NO LUCK, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT JUNK !
