With a Google Pixel 8a phone it works, but not exactly like it says it does... It lights up green for a few seconds when you place your phone on it - regardless of your battery life - and then the light turns off. I'm unsure if it turns back on temporarily as soon as it charges, but I know for sure the light doesn't stay on after charging to let you know it's done. It's slower than a cable to charge, which is to be expected due to wireless charging specs (at least with a pixel 8a). It generally doesn't cause my phone to heat up, but always heats up too much if it put it on the charger with my super thin magsafe/magnetic case (it will charge through it though, but I do not charge with my case on anymore for obvious reasons). This product doesn't seem to be magsafe compatible anyway though, so you will need to make sure the light turns on when you drop your phone on the pad in the correct position to make sure it's started charging. It doesn't seem too fussy with my phone though for placement. Overall, it's not a bad option for a wireless/qi charger, as long as you don't expect to charge with a magsafe case on.
