Acacia Sapporo Bench -Brown

I needed something for a small covered outdoor entry area that would keep it from looking bare and unfinished but would also provide a place to sit or leave packages. It needed to be sturdy and have some weight as well, not too fragile to support an adult. I had a seat with storage but it was pointed out that it was outdoors and might shelter undesirable creatures. Hence the slatted bench. The finish is fine except that it is a little light and glossy, not as dark as the online photo. Since anything outdoors needs periodic maintenance, color and finish can easily be changed. Shipping was quick and convenient, and the little assembly required was easy. I chose this particular model for the back design because we live in Arizona, and it reminds me of the state flag.

This bench is adorable. It is stable and lightweight. I would not put it in direct sunlight (all day) because of the light wood. I just love it!

not only is this bench the perfect size for my porch no tools were required. All of the hardware needed was included. I wss able to put this together by myself in 20 minutes. Very sturdy, but the bottom of each leg is not treated and it on painted concrete, to keep from scraping the painted surface I purchased rubber furniture protectors. would recommend.

The bench arrived earlier than expected. Although the wood is darker than it appeared on the website, I like it. It was assembled without any grumbling, which is unusual. It is great value for the money. Its use is mostly decorative, flanked by flower pots, at the front porch. So comfort is not an issue - it's a visually welcoming accent, just as I had intended.( For comfort, cushions would be needed). Thank you.

There were holes that didn't match up, making assembly challenging. I had to remove one of the pegs, but it was on the back assembly, so it's still sturdy. Sure is frustrating, though.

I received it within 5 days of purchase. Looks good. Has one gouge out of it, but I can not figure out how to get the bottom seat in. Help. If someone could please help me I would greatly appreciate.

We love this design. The sun ray pattern is very unique for benches like this -- hence the 4-star rating. However, on one piece, two holes were drilled in the wrong place (about an inch off) making assembly difficult (I had to improvise). Also the color was not as depicted -- more dark brown than reddish. [...] We were disappointed in the quality of this item for its price.

I HAVE BOUGHT THREE OF THESE FOR USE AT CEMETARIES, THE THEORY BEING THAT IF THEY GET STOLEN I'M NOT OUT THE SMALL FORTUNE THAT A TEAK BENCH WOULD REPRESENT. ASSEMBLY WAS A LITTLE FRUSTRATING, BUT THE EXTRA EFFORT TO RE-ALIGN AND RE-DRILL SOME OF THE HOLES TOOK ONLY ABOUT 10 MINUTES PER BENCH.

In regards to putting it together, it was pretty easy. All the hole lined up but one was missing. I would just have a drill on had when building just in case. It's super cute but does not seem super waterproof. I may get something to cover it in the winter. You get what you pay for.

Loved the artistic design, but the quality substandard. The seat support in the middle under the bench is just on the edge so it doesn't provide the structural support needed to be safe. When unpacked the wood was dry and brittle. The first person who sat on it fell to the floor when the wood crumbled. I should have returned it for a refund.
