Acasis 2.5/3.5" USB 3.0 SATA HDD Case High-Speed Transfer for External Storage

I got this to replace the WD black drive I bought that ghosted me. The hard drive was good; just the WD black case it came in kissed the donkey. I put the broken-apart WD Black 5 TB case, gutted it, and put the drive in this case. It hooked up to the Series X and the PS5 just fine. Everything works.

This is a fantastic drive enclosure. I couldn't be more happy about it. It's a great value, for a great price, and it actually arrived a day ahead of the expected delivery date. Would gladly buy again!

This 3.5'' HDD enclosure is perfect for my need! It has converted an old hard drive into a useful USB-C external drive. The casing feels sturdy and the USB-C interface allows me to use a single cable for all my peripherals. It has a cool light strip around it that lights up when powered on and connected to a computer. I would highly recommend it for this price!

Seller shipped the products very quick. I got two of them for two internal hard drives that I removed from my old computers. They both are just like what they are shown in the picture. It was very easy to setup and they both worked immediately. Data speed has been great and no issue. I will buy again if needs arise.

Geez, the ratings stars were for things like battery life(?, it has no battery...), user interface (again ?, it's a usb plug-in hard drive enclosure...what interface?) Aside from the questionaire, this enclosure worked flawlessly through recovering data from two different hard drives from damaged computers and was simple to use. As for longevity...well, I can't speak for that but suspect it will be fine for the occasional use that I intend for it. Who knows, maybe I will decide to use it for a full time back up drive? Bottom line, it worked as intended, arrived promptly and was well packaged, so thumbs up.

Enclosure works as described: plug and play! The instructions were REALLY hard to read. since there is no way to lock the hard drive inside the case with screws or tension, it can slide loose from connections inside the enclosure. There are foam adhesive strips inside that I would guess close the gap, but one isn't enough and two is too much. Lastly, there are 180 degrees of cycling lights across the top and sides. I've been using it as a media player for my TV and the light gets distracting in the dark. Just so you know!

Driver left item in the rain

Used it to hold my 12TB HDD that I use for backup. My beef with this case is that writing to disk is very slow - in the MB/sec rather than GB/sec spec'ed for read. I guess that you get what you pay for.

This is advertised as a 2.5"hdd %26 SSD 3..5 but it is not a 2. 5 which is what I needed it to hold my 2.5 %26 transfer to m.2 the fact that it also held a 3.5 was just a bonus but that's all it set up to hold.

This external hard disk enclosure stopped working after a couple weeks. I returned it.
