I was very excitedly waiting on this to arrive but quickly became disappointed upon its arrival. I was needing something very much like this, to carry extensive medical documents and notes for my spouse's disability and upcoming hospitalizations. First- I had no likely real need for a fireproof portable case. We have a safe for that at home. However- I have serious questions about their claims. The outer shell is a fiberglass material that is coated in silicone. That material likely is fireproof, but the fabric of the zipper, the handles, and the binding surely look like conventional fabric that would melt or burn in fire. Then- this coated fiberglass is absolutely grippy and sticky. It's hard to slide it across anything and it picks up lint and stray pet fur hairs. It just feels kind of creepy. The biggest problem though is the plastic accordion files. This was the most important need and it was made from the cheapest, flimsiest, thin plastic. I don't think the pockets will hold a standard file folder, but I'm sure it would rip the plastic putting it in or pulling out if I tried. So, all of the other nice features are kind of wasted when the most important one is not going to last a week, and the cover is weird sticky. (They include a “dust sleeve” which is just a piece of fabric) I think to make it easier for them during packing. So, just not worth it to me.
