Great songs AC/DC always delivers a rock and roll ride
Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, He loves it!!
This is still AC/DC, not some version of the band and they are still rocking. This band isn't just enduring after all of these years, they are finding new ground to break and sounding great doing it. While many bands in the "rock" genre have come and gone, AC/DC is still rocking the way they always have and still sound as fresh as the day they started. Any fan of AC/DC will love this CD and many that hear them for the first time will be rushing out to buy this and many of their previous CD's. A must have for those starving for something new in the "rock" category, from a band that still knows how to do it.
I don't think they could ever duplicate Back In Black but this new CD is much better than Black Ice. The more I listen to it the better it gets!
Love the CD, love AC/DC
Heard the first single and knew right off that this was going to be a great cd. I had heard of the problems the band was having and thought that maybe these guys were on their way out. But I was fooled! This is AC/DC old school with power to burn. The guys are older but still ROCK! A must have!
Great old ACDC Rock and Roll!
Phil Rudd's sharp drums combined with Cliff Williams' bass guitar outline highly melodic Angus Young's core solo guitar riffs and a vitally from-yell-to-scream-and-to-squeak-or-squeal Brian Johnson's vocal. So is the AC/DC new album Rock or Bust from 2014. The first chords on the opening title track define the Australian band prompting everybody to know who we are listening to: it's a dynamic rock song. Good rhythm 'n' dance mood continues in Play Ball, Dogs of War, Baptism by Fire, Rock the House, and all other fine tracks. AC/DC sounds fresh and youthful, their music awakes anyone from boredom and gets entertained: "You hear the guitar sound / Playin' nice and loud / Rock you to your knees / Gonna make your destiny / In rock we trust, it's rock or bust"! Recorded in Vancouver, Canada, this album is the very first one without a participation of Malcolm Young, a rhythm guitarist, songwriter and a founding member of AC/DC. Due to health concerns Malcolm had to leave the band and was replaced by his nephew Stevie Young. A forced personal substitution did not hurt melodically the quality of performance: music is alive, kicks hard and contains zero politics or religion; eleven songs are fast, quick and power packed; they start, explode and finish. Hard rock mixed with elements of blues sums the Aussies style up, reflects their past and highlights their future. In band's 42 year old history a Rock or Bust album is another blasting tribute to those who look for pure entertainment; and, yet, it is next in the series of seventeen studio records, a cannon salute "for those about to rock"!
So glad to have found this again after my copy was lost.
