I picked this up on rollback, and as a 35-year-old guy who already has a Windows 11 gaming rig, I just wanted something simple and practical for getting around online without the Windows fluff. This Acer 315 works perfectly for that kind of stuff where I want the laptop form factor for lounging on the couch without needing a ton of horsepower. The claims about speed and security really do hold up for web-focused use; it starts up instantly and syncs perfectly with my Android phone and Google account. It's much better than trying to do everything on a phone screen when you want a real keyboard. The battery life is solid, too, giving me a consistent 7–9 hours of real-world use. If you’re looking for a fast, easy way to browse the web on a bigger screen without overpaying, this is a great choice.
1st, I love how sleek it looks and how light it is, I also love the Numbers key pad, that was an important feature so that I don't have press those keys at the top of the keyboard, the setup was seamless, I was able to sync it to my smartphone with no problems. I'm not a "tech savvy" Senior, but this Chromebook works for me for what I need. I love the "Full 1080 HD Screen" experience when I'm streaming movies and shows. With the other features, I am able to read and send emails, make word documents, convert to pdfs if needed, while taking advantage of the many features and support this machime offers. I didn't find the instructions too hard to understand and that was a plus. I do wish it came with a sliding camera cover. I made a makeshift one that gives me piece of mind that no "peeping Toms" while I'm working. I lost control of a nice laptop years ago when a bad actor "peeked" in on me when I wasn't paying attention and they took a picture thru the camera lens and rendered my laptop useless by infecting it and demanding a ransom. lessons learned and keeping up with security measures. "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Online ordering on Walmart.com gave me piece of mind for a comfortably secured transaction and delivery.
There was a struggle with the initial setup where everything was so slow it took almost two hours to see the Chromebook react to any keystrokes and clicks made. But now, it's as smooth as butter. It's day one, so an update will follow in the coming weeks. So far, all thumbs and big toes up.
bought this when my prior laptop had a confrontation with a glass of water and lost. this laptop has so little RAM, it freezes constantly. I used it for a week until I was able to get a suitable replacement. I suppose you can buy one to keep as an emergency machine, to check email or do some secure banking if you don't want to risk using your cell phone. other than that, almost a hand crank laptop.
The battery life is great keyboard display goo d but the setup and the way the cursor works is very laggy and gets stuck often my tabs are in mobile mode and when I try to change it or expand it, it doesn’t change and even out either the screen correctly
NEVER RECEIVED. APPARENTLY MY ORDER WAS JUST LEFT BY THE DELIVERY PERSON STORE STAFF MEMBER AND THEN STOLEN RIGHT FROM MY FRONT DOOR! RECEIVED REFUND BUT LESSON LEARNED. GO TO THE STORE AND PURCHASE IN PERSON. I AM A SENIOR AND NO LONGER DRIVE. DO REALLY NO CHOICE FOR ME....SIGH
Hello, I am reaching out to report a consumer issue involving Walmart that I believe raises concerns about fulfillment practices and customer resolution policies especially during the holiday season. On 12/16/2025, I ordered a Chromebook from Walmart online that was advertised at a sale price with limited stock. The item arrived two days later, but when I opened the package, the Chromebook box was completely empty. There was no device inside. I immediately contacted Walmart customer service and escalated the issue to a supervisor. I explained that this appeared to be a fulfillment failure or loss issue, not a standard return, and requested a replacement at the original sale price, or an equivalent solution since the item was limited stock and time-sensitive for Christmas. I have not received a refund nor confirmation of email correspondence stating that I will get a refund or stating that I have had conversations pertaining to this topic.
Your delivery driver stole my package but your refund department doesn’t seem to believe me, even though I offered to submit a “ring camera” video of the time they said the package was delivered to prove it was never received by me. It’s been 8 days since the 1st complaint I made and I still have no resolution on my refund and I missed out on the Black Friday deal I wanted. This is by far the most frustrating online order experience I’ve ever had. I doubt there will be any consequences for the driver who took my package but I sure am being treated like I did something wrong. All of this is inexcusable for a company as big as Walmart!
unable to set up, per promp:"your clock is behind". An ACER rep attempted to set up, but failed. He offered to send postage to have the product sent to have it repaired. Just purchased item 11.30.25. I declined the offer and I'm returning for full refund.
first time ever buying the ACER brand and my very last! I bought this and had it delivered to me and the very outside box had tape over it, but the inside box where the laptop was, the seal was busted open. I looked at the laptop and the protector sleeve that it was in was all jumbled up! the laptop had small dents on the right side of it. I immediately called Walmart and they said it's not common but I may have gotten a return or a demo that was put in the wrong place. that's not what I paid for! I will never buy this brand again and I will also suggest from anyone else buying it! I ordered delivery for a reason and I can't get it back there to return it. thanks for ripping me off here!!
