I bought this bunk bed set for my boys who are 6 and 2. They were so excited to get it since it was a surprise for the and we are expecting a new baby so needed ore room. The included "directions" are hilarious when you see it but if you look very carefully the bolts are numbered and follow a strict pattern that you can do. It is sturdy and supportive. My husband and I are both over 200 pounds and have sat with or have laid down with our boys on the bottom. So you can get an idea of how strong it is. And the colors are vibrant! Would recommend to anyone!.
We bought 2 of the bunk beds because we have 4 boys. I was looking for a compact and sturdy bed and that is what this product is. Me and my husband put it together in about 20 mins per bed. The top bunk isn't too high (less of a fall lol) but still enough room for the bottom bunk for a kid to sit straight up. Kids love them! Would definately recommend this bunk bed.
I bought this for my grandchildren to sleep in at camp. I wanted a bed that would last many years since I don't want the grandchildren to outgrow it. They are now 5 and 9. The bed arrived in one heavy box which the store helped me load onto my trailer. When I got it to camp, I opened the box and carried the 6 pieces of the bed up to the bedroom. I am impressed with how sturdy the bed is. It goes together with screws and an allen wrench that was supplied in the kit. My husband and I had the bed together in very little time. I put a 7" mattress on the top bunk and the rail is still adequate to contain the top bunk sleeper. If you have a very small area that you are putting this in, make sure you decide which side of the bed you want the ladder on. It is located on the end but depending on how you face the bed, it can be on the left or the right. I did not do that and once the bed was built, the room was too small to turn it around. Not the bed's fault but mine.
This bunk bed set was quite a bit more sturdy than I had imagined. I was expecting, for the price, a bit of a wobbly mess but once I had it together...it is practically motionless. The one modification that I made was the side rails for the bottom bunk. Our oldest is 11 youngest is four. Older on top, younger on bottom. Since the bunk was going against a wall...I was able to take the back rail and secure it to the bottom bunk by placing the rail on the outside edge, marking the holes and drilling the side posts. Once in place...it looked like a factory installation. Great bed...great price...easy fabrication to suit our needs.
I was searching online for a nice, but not too pricey, sturdy bunkbed frame for my grandchildren when they come over. I prefer wood, but when I'd zoom in, the wood looked cheap and I didn't think they'd hold up well over time. I came across the Acme Eclipse Twin over Twin, and thought it appeared to be just what I was looking for.....nice upper guard rails...ladders that were built in on each end.....spacious between the two bunks....and after reading the reviews, I chose to buy them. Well.....I cannot say enough GOOD about this whole purchase. They were delivered about one week after buying them online, which Walmart is always so good about. Then, it was very easy for just me to put together. They are super sturdy, solid and just made very well for the price. I would recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a nice set of bunkbeds. I now ordered the mattresses and just can't wait for the grandchildren to use them! The value of this frame for the money is totally worth it! I got the frame in white so fingerprints won't show as easily. You won't be sorry, in my opinion, if you buy this product.
My son was floored when he saw this bunk bed in his room. His old bed was absolute junk and I didn't expect him to be as excited as he was to sleep on this. He loves climbing on the top bunk and "camping out", lol. I even slept on the bottom bunk and it was sturdy for a 180lb person. Definitely recommend this bed.
I heard horror stories about assembling bunk beds. This one is not the case. You do have to be careful to keep connections loose until all the connections are complete. If you then tighten a little at a time going around the bed, it stays square. We selected the blue color. It is a bright-ish blue, not a navy. We like the color, but be aware because if you are wanting navy blue, this isn't it.
We bought this bunk bed for occasional use by our grandchildren. We were attracted to the product by its clean/streamlined look (integral ladder, tubular construction) and inexpensive price. We looked at numerous bunk beds of more traditional (i.e. wood) construction but felt that they would look too large in the small bedroom involved. In addition, they were significantly more expensive. In any case, we are very pleased with the product. It seems very sturdy and stable, and the red color is exactly as shown online. Our only issue is that there were a couple of dings in the metal frame and a few minor mars in the painted finish. But, we just made sure they were on the inside of the frame and/or facing the wall when assembling the bed, so no big deal. I assume they came from shipping and that WalMart would have replaced the unit if necessary.
We got the twin over twin bunk. It is a bit shaky but does not squeak and is study. Beware this comes without any instructions. Although it is pretty self explanitory really.
This is an ok bed. It's not very sturdy and moves alot when the kids get in and out of bed. The one I got had a broken bar but from the looks of the box, that was due to mishandling during shipping. Oh and the most important thing, the instructions said that there is a weight limit on the beds....150 lbs for the top and 200 lbs for the bottom.
