Pretty great! Things I recommend to really make these work for you... *Rechargeable batteries. The battery power lasts about 4 hours per use. *Moisture wicking liners. Even without the heating element these socks are very thick and will make your feet sweat, making it very hard to keep the tootsies warm once everything is a bit damp. Also it's an extra layer to help keep the sock clean. They're a bit tough to wash so that seems important to me. A thing to know - the only heated portion is over the tops of your toes.
I got these for my Son and he really likes them. They do keep your feet warm. He doesn't come home from work complaining about how cold his feet were all day at work ! So, yes if I ever need to buy another pair I will definitely buy this item ! Very Satisfied !
I'm a mailman and work long, cold evenings in the fall and winter. I bought these socks and totally rely on them to keep my feet warm while I'm on them for hours. And as you know, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night.." Love these socks.
I have not used these out in sub 0 temperatures as of yet but once I saw the video on the web site on how to synch the remote to the insoles they seemed to work well. Took a while to heat up but got there eventually. Will see how long the batteries last this weekend. Directions need to be inclusive as there was not mention on hoe to connect the remote to the insoles. Had to find a video on their website to figure this out
Socks do the job but keep it in mind the heating pad is located on the toe area only so sometimes it gets warm just the toes
I purchased these prior to a winter photo excursion to Yellowstone NP (which I have yet to take). I tested them after receipt and they did get very warm, which was great. My disappointment was that the rechargeable batteries (from Amazon) that I put in them were a bit too big for the battery case and made it so that the cover wouldn't snap shut correctly. When I put non-rechargeable Duracell batteries in, they were snug but the cover would close. Apparently, the inexpensive rechargeables that I bought are slightly wider than they should be; however, it would be nice if there was more room in the case so it didn't feel like I was forcing the batteries into place. Maybe that is why these were "open box."
My husband wears a men's size 9 shoe and has very large calves. The L/XL socks (supposedly fit a men's 9-12) were a hassle to get on and off as they were so small. And the most "on" we could get them was bunched around his ankles because they would NOT fit over his calves. Nice material and seem fairly well made for the price. But the effort to put them on plus how quickly they chew through batteries will lead me to return them. And I got them at half price on clearance! Conclusion: A real hassle to put on because they run small and you'll rebuy the socks several times over in batteries before spring.
they didnt really work. bought for my husband who drives construction equipment and he couldnt feel anything. i will be returning them
Wouldn't work, do not buy!!!!!!! I had one sock work and the other wouldn't heat up at all returning ASAP thought they would be great for hunting NOPE
I wear a size 11 shoe, so I bought the XL size sock, which goes up to size 12 men's. My foot literally wouldn't even fit into the heated portion of the sock. I returned that pair and ordered an XXL (the largest size), which claims it accommodates 12.5+ men's shoe size. I can't speak to the quality of the product as I'm unable to use them. Will be returning and looking elsewhere for a better product.
