Great fun for my budgie and we love watching her play basketball

I find it interesting that this version of this toy has the basketball hoop enclosed at the bottom of the net. The one I purchased for my canary did NOT have a bottom on the net. I heard some fluttering that wasn't a usual sound and I went in to where the bird was and it had gotten stuck upside down in the net part. I don't know how long she was like that and now she cannot fly and stays in the bottom of the cage and ends up on her back a lot. She acts like she has gotten brain damage. So apparently this must have been a problem BEFORE and they redesigned the hoop to have a closed bottom. I just bought this recently so why was it allowed to remain on the shelf of the store? Why didn't they recall these toys? I will be calling corporate office Monday morning and asking why. I will be taking my canary to the vet today but the prognosis doesn't look good. I am so angry not to mention devastated by what has happened.
