AcuRite Iris PRO+ (5-in-1) Weather Sensor with Rain Gauge, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Temperature and Humidity (06014M)

I ordered the Iris a few weeks back to replace an early one that stopped working after 8 years. My old sensor was still working and was happy to find out that the two would link up, which in fact happened very easily. I put new lithium batteries in (we often have temps below 4 degrees in the winter) and it has been working flawlessly.

Ordered this to replace the older version of this outdoor monitor and this new one works great. The instrument that measures the wind speed as well as the wind vane are made of different material compared to the older models. It's cool that you can replace some of the inner components on these newer ones if it stops transmitting to your inside unit instead of having to buy a brand new outdoor monitor

This was a replacement for an earlier version of the 5in! Weather Station that had served us very well for 7+ years. The older model simply wore out - sun damage to the solar panels crazed them and the internal fan no longer worked, giving us inaccurate temperature readings. The anemometer and wind direction vane had also seen better days with the plastic becoming very brittle. Swapping out the units was very easy and the base monitoring station had no trouble identifying and adding the new unit. With in ten minutes the new AcuRite Iris was reporting current weather conditions accurately.

This works well as promised, several ways to mount it outdoors. I mounted mine on a board which made it simple to place on a flat surface. Indoor screen easy to use.

The old unit withstood 7 years atop the reflective roof of a 6-story Co-op North of NYC, with winds hitting 45 MPH and temperatures up to 125 degrees. The replacement has an even better solar array.

Only replacing it because its supporting pole got blown over in a ridiculous wind event. The sensr hit landscaping rocks, shattering the sensor housing. The sensor gives me what I expect: an accurate picture of the weather at my house.

I would give a 5 star review on performance, but I purchased a new outdoor station to replace a faded and failing station that was only 5 years old. Contacted support hoping for some type of loyalty discount on parts or a new system but that wasn't going to happen. I was provided links to options I had for parts replacement. It is a good product and works great, but doesn't stand up to weather very well.

I purchased the replacement exterior sensor for the weather station which lasted 12 years. The changeover was easy, and I appreciate not having to replace the interior display. I would rate it 5 stars if it was possible to retain the previous rainfall history, but this was not possible according to the technical assistance chat. Lost 12 years of rainfall history.

A great product. I just wish one could more easily replace parts without having to buy the entire sensor. If only the upper or lower portion of the senor were available to purchase at a lower cost. That would be great.

I would never had replace my older one with this one had I know how bad the Acurite Now App is . Less information, harder to use than the MyAcurite app. Very disappointed.
