The pager is my main reason for purchasing this thermometer. No more running back and forth to the grill checking on meat. Just wait for pager to notify you meat is ready

This item is to replace one that has been used now for about 5 or 6 years...the first one finally just wore out.

I have 3 or 4 of these and they have lastes a good while. I use them on my 2 smokers so I don't have to open the door which will let my heat out.

I carelessly cut the probe wire while opening the plastic shell and reached out to AcuRite who sent promptly me a replacement as a goodwill gesture. I've used the thermometer now a few times and it works great. Thanks AcuRite for the classy response.

I used it in my smoker it worked great.

It worked as advertised for the first three uses and then became 19 degrees out of calibration. Changed batteries and followed the limited options without improvement. It's easy enough to make the math adjustments and then use an instant read when the alarm sounds to make sure the internal temp is at the desired number.

I have had it maybe a dozen times now the probe has malfunctioned. A replacement probe is $7 for the probe and $7 for shipping. I will buy something different I will not support their extreme shipping cost.
