AcuRite Optimus Weather Station with Wi-Fi Display, Built-in Barometer, Lightning Detection, Indoor/Outdoor Temperature and Humidity, Wind Speed/Direction, and Rainfall Measurements (01224MCB)

I love being able to track my own rain gauge because it can rain two inches at my neighbor's house and not a drop at mine! It's great for saving money on watering the lawn especially when I'm on vacation. Okay. I do wish the screen would allow me to move the temperature into the big part of the display instead of the wind speed.

User documentation is effectively nonexistent. This requires me to contact AcuRite multiple times in order for me to make the unit operational. Currently having problems with the lightning counter. With no documentation I dont understand how this feature works or what control I have over this feature. First unit I had developed an aspiration fan failure on day 2 of installation. Temperature circuit board needs to have conformal coating applied to the solder connections to help prevent corrosion of the solder joints which causes circuit board failure. Really dont like the chat only form of communication with AcuRite.

Everything works as described. This is my third Acurite weather station and the minimally obtrusive sensor array for this latest version is very much appreciated. My only wish would be for a display with a white frame. The black frame just doesn't blend in with white walls. Acurite, do let me know if and when a white one becomes available.

Easy set up. The data display/analytics in the app isn't great, and you have to pay to connect to weather nets. Hardware works well though. Overall disappointed.

Excellent choice for weather station. Been owner of 5 in 1 then Atlas now Optimus specially for low profile and lifetime warranty

After 6 months the temperature sensor quit. Acurite eplaced it and couple weeks later it quit communicating with the display. Acurite replaced the sensor and now that one has quit completely. Should've kept my Atlas. With the failure of 2 Optimus and having to pay to send my data to Weather Underground, I'm done with Acurite.

I thought after purchasing an Iris and Atlas that this unit would be more reliable. Side by side I get 3 different numbers on temperature and rainfall. The display is hard to read from further than 5 feet, so my honest observation is that this isn't worth the added expenditure.

I had an Atlas weather station for years. It no longer was able to maintain Wi-Fi connection. I tried everything but it would drop Wi-Fi within a week. I hesitated to buy another AcuRite product because dropping Wi-Fi was always an issue mentioned. So far the Optimus is holding Wi-Fi. So all is good.

This is my third Acurite weather station and fourth weather station overall. I like it - easy to set up and the display is bright and can be seen across a room, a quality the other Acurite displays do not have.

Very easy to install and setup. I have always used AcuRite weather stations and the new upgrade to the Optimus has been awesome.
